Worst Career Move Ever?

Gotta feel sorry for Josh Morris. He leaves the Dragons to play for the Bulldogs.

Dragons then go onto win the Minor Premiership that year without him, next year they do the same but also win the Grand Final.

Then when the Dogs do win the MP and make the grand final twice, he loses in both. To the Storm and Bunnies. That's heartbreaking.

This is like putting your unregistered winning Lotto ticket through the wash..

Hope his missus is the understanding type...

Good call. Mitch Rein is another one. Knocked back a big extension with St George (there were a few media types talking him up as rep material at the time) then they withdrew the offer and he ended up on a bargain basement deal in reserve grade at the Riff. Now he's gone where careers go to fade into obscurity.

Glenn Morrison.

Last I remember of him is being in a badly smashed Parra team in a prelim final. They use to have the Leichhardt Oval toilet block named after him.

i think i saw moro mentioned a few pages back, Glen Morrison finally chucks a tanty that the reason he isn't being picked for the blues (including a man of the match in the city v country game and still being overlooked). Heads to the eels doesn't hit anywhere near the form he was in up north. In the mean time O'Donnell heads up to replace him and walks straight into the blues team and the clubs first grand final appearance.

Joe Galuvao signing for Souths almost ruined his career.

Crowe trying to talk him into retiring and becoming a priest in 2007 is probably one of the scummier and stupid moves in NRL history.

What everyone seems to forget in this situation though is that Big Joe played like an absolute lump of shit for Souths. Did not have a dig at all.

Came to us on big money and basically looked content to sit back and collect each week. Then when he got dumped to Reggies, he played even worse.

Crowe had the chat with him because at that stage he looked like he had zero interest in playing rugby league anymore. At the time he was one of the highest paid players at the club.

You seem to be leaving out the part where the lower grades he was dumped to was actually some random QLD Cup side, forcing Joe to relocate or face the sack.

Oh, and the fact you’d signed Craig Wing on huge money despite having no cap space, so needed to push someone out post haste

That was after he left Balmain to join the Bears because he wanted to play for a stable and successful club or some similar quote.

We all now how that turned out.

This is correct.

The funny thing is a couple of years later when Wing was past his best and nothing but a bench player Souths did the same thing to him to be able to afford the fat gronks Taylor and Burgess.

They are a despicable club and writing this has made me upset.

Oh wow... Roosters supporters giving any club shit about moving players on is hilarious.

Mitchell Pearce's arse is still sore from the raping he copped in the last off season. Poor guy wasn't even playing that bad. Half the current Knights team is made up of players that Politis has knifed. Some of those guys were "Roosters legends" less than twelve months ago.

Biggest transit lounge in the NRL.

Dane Nielsen and Todd Lowrie leaving the comfy confines of Melbourne wasn't great for them

We helped the Knights get off the bottom of the table doing that.

We should be given compensation through extra cap space because of it.
