Dragons then go onto win the Minor Premiership that year without him, next year they do the same but also win the Grand Final.

Then when the Dogs do win the MP and make the grand final twice, he loses in both. To the Storm and Bunnies. That's heartbreaking.

Good call. Mitch Rein is another one. Knocked back a big extension with St George (there were a few media types talking him up as rep material at the time) then they withdrew the offer and he ended up on a bargain basement deal in reserve grade at the Riff. Heads to the eels doesn't hit anywhere near the form he was in up north. You seem to be leaving out the part where the lower grades he was dumped to was actually some random QLD Cup side, forcing Joe to relocate or face the sack.

The funny thing is a couple of years later when Wing was past his best and nothing but a bench player Souths did the same thing to him to be able to afford the fat gronks Taylor and Burgess.
