Yeah agreed he's a good front on defender but when it comes to plays he tends to let them in all too often. Look at Kenny-Dowall's try on Sunday terrible read.

For his size Moses is a pretty solid defender. Brooks is horrible, although this year he seems to have improved. Blake Austin is shocking. For his size Adam Blair is probably the worst. Last year Curtis Sironen was horrendous but this year he has been pretty inpressive.

I'm hopeful brooks will improve, it's not through lack of trying I.e rob Lui. A few years back I went to a tigers/souths game with a souths mate who was banging on about this gun half in the 20s Luke Keary. We watched the whole game and he must have missed 10+ tackles (4 lead directly to tries). Yet in first grade he had always seemed a pretty solid defender.

Carney for mine. He would consistently make 1 of 3 decisions in defence and all were bad.

1. Defend the gap between players
2. Slide past the player with the ball
3. Try and be a cover defender while he's in the front line being run at.

Everytime his centre was left stranded and made to look shit.

Couple that with his abysmal "all hands" technique on players once they have got round him and you have the wordt defender since Puig Aubert.

Brooks is tiny and subsequently is run at a lot. He at least stands his grounds and has a crack.

Chris Sandow has improved his defence 10 fold from two seasons ago... He still does miss a few tackles but now it is usually just down to being overpowered not from a lack of effort, he is only an ant.

In the past he was honestly just woeful, didn't put any heart in, his technique was dreadful and his reading of attacking movement was just horrid.

Some others who used to give me nightmares over the years at Parra include Ben Roberts, Tim Smith and of course and I can't believe he hasn't got a mention yet Eric 'stay on your wing' Grothe Jrn.

Certainly hasnt been the case since moving to Canberra. I actually havent noticed his defense at all in the 2 games he's played. Which tells me he's doing a pretty good job
