Surely tonight's match (Eels v Panthers) takes the cake. It is the worst match I've ever seen.

Close to the mark. Neither side had any imagination. 33 robots (Semi Radraka the exception)...doing their best not to lose.
Chris Sandow might not have been the best defensive player, but AT LEAST he was prepared to attack if the opportunity presented itself.
BORING ROBOTS ----same old, same old Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Even as a Parra fan, i found it extremely tough to watch
It was the worst I've probably ever seen.

Campbell-Gillard really had a dig too, as he's been doing all year. Soward's kicking game was good in the first half, but it fell away.

In fact most players on the field had a go, but timing was so off on both sides no decent attack could be mounted.

The Panthers in particular, had enough pill to win 10 games in the first half alone, and really ought to have led by much more than 4 at the break. It was their ineptness in attack that cost them the game.

No one saw the Cowboys beat the Tigers 8-0 a few months back? I did, it nearly made me hate rugby league.

Highlighted by a passage of play where Luke Kelly unexpectedly made a line break and was so surprised he immediately launched a grubber into the hoardings.

Awful, awful game. There's always rubbish around Origin but this was up there.

Pretty sure we lost 8-1 in the wet to the Dragons a few years back.

That was 2006. It was pissing down with rain so hard that night that my cup of beer kept filling up every 2 minutes.
Atrocious conditions.

And the try scored right at the end was the ref's fault. He blew his whistle after Jeremy Smith pulled the ball out of the scrum, so Smith stopped - ref then called play on and Smith got pressured into throwing a shit pass which ended up with Matt Cooper (I think).

Manly v Cowboys played in Cairns about 12-13 years ago was the worst I have seen.

Knights v Panthers in 2012 would have to be up there as well, so too Knights v Eels on a couple of occasions a few years back.

Why is this a thing these days,,,

For 90 years no one ever commented if it was a bad game, or a "low bludger"

but all of a sudden every round, we hear fans should get money back etc ..

every sport in the world has so called "bad games" who cares ...

Probably because the internet hasn't always existed.

Yeah gutsy win over a team missing a dozen players including nearly the entire backline and captain/halfback

Souths scraped a win over them too. Then got smashed by the Sea Eagles. Putting things into perspective.

Parra weren't exactly at full strength either. Penrith have been incredibly unlucky with injuries this year though. Glad I missed this match!
