I will pick players of kangaroo tours, picking nuffies would be too easy.

Fullback: Mark McGaw (played fullback v Cumbria W 42-10 6,750 Workington 1990 tour)
Winger: Shannon Hegarty
Centre: Luke Lewis
5/8: Greg Florimo (love the guy though)
Halfback: Steve Martin
Lock: Jim Sedaris
Second Row: Steve Kneen
Hooker: Kerrod Walters
Front Row: Don McKinnon

Mark McGaw was in stunning form for the Roos on that tour, in fact he was probably the player of the tour up until his injury.

How could you seriously try to say that Whatuira is the worst ever centre in the history of the game ?

That is the most ridiculous comment I've heard in years.

He didn't win 2 premierships in 3 years (at 2 different clubs) by being the worst ever centre in the game.

Looks like you have no brains........and are happy without them

For a thread asking for the worst side ever, it's interesting that people can't seem to remember many players from more than 15 years ago.

Who do you rate as the worst player currently via position to play first grade?

Which leads me to believe that he is asking about current players.

johnsy,i'm surprised you put in steve martin as worst h/b,i always thought he was a good footballer,it was along time ago so maybe he's got better in time in my mind.

the broncos have had some very ordinary footballers gain test selection such as tate, berrigan and ikin.

So he's not lightning quick...so that means he's the worst fullback? He's one of the most reliable fullbacks in the comp and extremely adaptable

Ridiculous inclusion

The guy doesn't play fullback.

He plays 5/8 with the 1 on his jersey. The dragons lose an attacking option with no fullback in support runs chiming through the line with Hornby playing the role he currently plays.

Hodgson (Tigers)
Bowen (Cowboys)
Stewart (Manly)
Hunt (Broncos)
Patten (Dogs)
Burt (Eels)
Slater (Storm)
Zillman (Raiders)
Kearney (Sharks)
Sammut (Penrith)

Gidley (Newcastle)
Campbell (Titans)
Merritt (Rabbitohs)
Minichiello (Roosters)
McKinnon (Warriors)

I've highlighted the dubious ones for you. The rest actually add to their sides opposed to convoluting their attack. The dragons never looked better than when they had Josh Morris at fullback this year. It's no coincidence your performances turned for the worst when Hornby started to get his hands on the ball. He's a bench player or fill in 5/8 at best nowadays. Too slow and too ball hungry for fullback.
