His first over was about 6 full tosses

From memory, I think his first over were either beamers, or so wide that they didn't even hit the pitch. Would love to see a clip of it again. It was memorable.

Most of the givens have already been said, but I'll add Brad Hodge, Matthew Elliott and Tony Dodemaide

You mean the guy who scored both a double-century and a century against South Africa in tests?? Average of 55. He should have played in the series just gone - despite the victorian thing !!

Not much

The bloke took 102 wickets at 23.5 in FC cricket so you can't really say his selection was undeserved

Furthermore, he took 7 wickets in his 2 tests which is not disastrous

Simon Cook got the same amount of wickets and had a far worse first class record. He had to be screwing someone to get a run when he did. Praise the lord he then got on a wicket with cracks wider than Jenna Jameson against a top three that featured Bryan Young, Blair Pocock and Adam Parore. Lasted one match after that.

That is a very good top 3.

It even made Simon Cook look good, a bloke who relentlessly struggled for NSW. They were ordinary.
