And what's happened to rock these days. It's all so similar I have trouble differentiating between them. Their sound is just so sterile.

I despise music that sticks to the rigid pop formula without ever threatening to wander. Disgraceful.

So, in answer to the orginal question of worst single of the year, my answer is 'all of them'.

And you're forgetting that they're all singing about how tough it is living in the ghetto yet somehow they can afford to have Ferraris and Hummers in the background! I laugh at all the impressionable dumbarses who buy into this s**t and think it's real life- hello!

A little harsh, although I'm not a big idol fan, I watch it a bit coz I have friends who like it. 'Leaping Lee' the punk guy should have won. He couldn't sing that well but he was entertaining and actually had some stage presence, which was better than most of them and had cool hair. I remember when I died my hair purple and black once for a Big Day Out concert. Panther colours, you know. 8-[
