Thats what happens when the 2 best defensive teams in the comp meet in the finals.... God help Sharks and Rabbitohs, Manly are going to be hard to beat..

Soccer has 0-0 draws and it's boring ? but a result like tonight and it's all "great defensive pressure".

So which is it folks?

Both teams completion rates dropped in the second half, but a lot of that was due to silly errors brought about through fatigue.
It was a smash up....probably the toughest game I have seen all year....errors occurred as a result of brutal defence and fatigued players.

Wouldn't want to be Manly having to play next week.

Sharks may well get them.

Absolutely oustanding intensity in defence by both sides. Couldnt take my eyes off the game for a second, literally on the edge of my seat for 80 minutes

4-0. Who needs tries, i will savour that win for years

Hiku played damn well, great to see an ex Warrior junior kicking on even if it is elsewhere.

However, Manly's attack is Brett Stewart. He makes so much difference to everything they do.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Manly lose next week due to the physicality of this contest. Epic match, one of the greats. The tension was unreal.

Totally agree with this.
Reminded me of Storm`s defence in last years GF.

Stewarts loss equals our loss of JWH, our go forward and ultimately our attack suffered without Jareds go forward and offloads.. Stewarts work in set plays was also sorely missed by Manly..

Bollix. Manly needed Stewart out wide more than the rorters needed JWH in tight.

If anyone thought that was a boring game or did not enjoy it as a spectacle.....you may as well give up watching rugby league.

I hate both teams with a passion, but as a league fan, it was edge of the seat stuff. Kudos to both teams. Fantastic game to watch. I found myself cheering for both teams to score at different times. Not that Roosters had many scoring opportunities, Manly defence was just as good as the Roosters.

Definitely agree that Manly missed Snake's attacking presence more than Roosters missed JWH.

Defense was incredible from both sides. Manly made easy meters up the middle but the Roosters' goal line defense was inpenetrable. On the other hand, Manly's line didn't really get tested but their defense at the Roosters' end stopped them from getting those opportunities.
