Listening to radio sport on stream, they're playing that old Kiwi classic, Dominion Road by the Muttonbirds... opening line works so well in this situation. "Dominion Road is bending under its own weight." The Warriors as a club are certainly destroying themselves.

Listèning to Watson on the radio now

His explanation around the sacking/resignation is disgraceful, if I was a warriors fan hearing this drivel I'd almost give it away I think

Just finished listening to the same interview, I didn't catch the beginning but I did catch what he had to say about Owen Glenn on...and long story short - I'm very happy with what he had to say. It looks like OG is on the way out, Wayne Scurrah is doing a good job and this guy McFadden is more than worth giving a chance.

Quite frankly, I'm happy that guys like Watson and Glenn and Scurrah are involved in this sport, would never have dreamt a few decades ago that guys like the first two, especially, would ever be involved in League.

Eric Watson has 100% faith in Andrew McFadden and that's good enough for me. Naturally, if Macca is a failure, then we have a fair idea where the problem lies. The building blocks are well and truly in place at the Warriors, just extracting the final 10% out of the players is the missing ingredient and this is what they're looking for from McFadden to accomplish and what Matty Elliot failed to do, it appears.

Are you for real, your happy for Scurrah to stay, he is treating us fans like idiots and doesn't care what we want, f**k off Scurrah.

This aint cheap talk because he's just nailed his own credibility to this guy. As a result, the outcome is obvious. Either we've got a goose or a solid guy as an owner. I was wholly impressed because guys like Eric Watson and the like usually don't paint themselves into corners nor are they as forthcoming in regards to their peers as he was. It was a good interview, Tony Vetch I think it was asked the right questions.

I'm more than happy for Scurrah to stay based on the reasoning outlined by Watson in the interview I just listened to. This club is in better shape than most clubs in the NRL. No one would give a toss about this guy if the team was consistently winning but when the team is playing like they are - everyone involved at the club is fair game.

Some pimps are in great shape financially as well. They're not the ones getting f**ked in the ass though.
Absolutely - as a fan of League more than the Warriors, I believe the current NRL admin are well and truly screwing the game into the grave despite the record levels of dosh floating around the code at the moment.

But given where the Warriors were and generally have been up until recently, as in crap both on and off the field, if at least one aspect of the club is doing well, then I can be a little bit more forgiving than usual.

Richard Becht. Welcome to the forum.
No need to welcome someone that's been here longer than most folk around here although as a one time League writer in a land choc full of Union scribes - I've got plenty of time for him.

If its true, and you'd suspect there has to be some truth, this is the moment Owen Glenn jumped the shark. If, for example, Bill Wavish didn't have the unanimous support, you'd suspect he'd be instantly removed as Chairman. I'd say the truth is Owen Glenn's representative didn't act in Owen's interests.

That said, perhaps the lesson to learn here is be honest at the outset that Matt had been asked to re-sign or he'd be fired. I agree with Owen on one thing, Matt is an honourable bloke, and reading Bill Wavish's statement, I genuinely believe Matt loved our fans passions. He's just not a great coach. I'd love to see Matt in the media, or working at the NRL. He'd be great value for the game there.

What a mess! No wonder the players are getting what they want and use coaches for scapegoats when this shit is going on in that boardroom.

I'd rather get this out, and over and done with now than to be back here in 2016 with more sackings and revolts. I'm sure there's more to come over the next few weeks.

The Tigers & Sharks boards have nothing on us, it's going to be fun.
