I used to attend matches every week. I qould make 1-2 iterstate trips to watch the lads play also. Last year when that fat sack of crap re-signed his son for 3 years, I gave up supporting the Tigers. I couldn't cop it.

Over the off-season I've caved and I still watch the Tigers run around. But I haven't and I will not attend matches this year, or for the next 2 for that matter. I did not renew my Season Ticket for this year. I did not buy my Jersey from the club this year I, bought it from Rebel.

I am doing all I can to avoid Fat Mac and I think I am voing with my feet, sure I am only one person, but if there were 100 like minded souls out there, surely they would feel the pinch.

If he were to be CEO that would be it. There would be no jerseys. There would be no supporting the club in any way. The relationshp will cease to exist. If he were to be appointed then I tell you what I can't wait until the Western Sydney Rams get admitted into the AFL, I'd finally have a team that I can support again - because the Tigers will have done there dash for me.

Gay.

I already do enjoy AFL it's only our national code, and Leaguey's only put s..t on it because it is a massive threat to a relatively insignificant game in the context of things.

Don't talk wank.

It isn't our national code, it can be yours if you like but you don't speak for anyone else on that subject.

Be blinded by black and gold glasses - don't question the satus quo, just roll with it... With ignorant fans like you, who needs Fat Mac?

Go follow AFL now, please.

Just on the subject of AFL... Won't try to speak for anyone else, but AFL deserves the sh*t put on it, because it is a bloody stupid game. Not just from observation. I started by playing "aussie rules", and switched to League. AFL is rubbish. It makes no sense, and in the final washup, whatever "inroads" AFL makes into RL territory is moot. Anyone that picks AFL over League is no loss, as a player. Anyone who elects to watch AFL over League has serious issues in taste, and would switch from watching League to watch paint dry. Just one opinion on why AFL catches flak, anyway.

Cricket is the national sport, AFL is for Victorians and ex victorians who were actually smart enough to leave the shyte hole that is Victoria.

When did you leave the shyte hole?

lol AFL...

National sport...bahahaha

cricket owns all sports in the entire world, rugby league is a very very close second.

AFL is a practical joke sucking in millions of gullible morons every year who actually believe its a sport.

if Mexico is 'the context of things' then sure. I think you'll find however that in the OVERALL scheme of things ie. the world, even League's limited international game is infinitely better than the abortion of a sport that fumbleballers play with the Irish every now and then.

Put crap on the AFL all you like, you only emphasise my point that League fans are extremely nervous about the code taking away from their game of Rugby League. I was born in Leichhardt and now reside in the Western Suburbs - Never living in Melbourne.

Every Sports Administrator in the country looks to the AFL as to how they run their competition - from Marketing to Grass Roots development - They have it in the bag. So what if there is no International competition? Who says sport needs an International Competition to be sucesful? The most popular sport in the USA is a game played wholly and soley by them, the NFL.

Judging from the result of the last test against the Kiwis in October 58-0 I could well and truly argue that there is no real International Competition in Rugby League either.

Let's face facts, AFL is the most popular Winter sport in Australia dominating media in every state except for 2... The Backward Queensland and Sydney. Drive in Melbourne on a SAturday or Sunday afternoon and you pretty much have the choice of any game you would like to listen to - on numerous stations - something that the NRL has failed to deliver to it's supporters. You either get a Fui Fui sog every 4 minutes with a bunch of morons on 2GB or you get the totally inept David Moron oops I mean Morrow and The Wok Ryan on ABC - a more boring radio team than the guys that host the fishing show at 0500 on a Saturday morning on 2KY.

The fact that AFL is the major winter sport right across the land gives them a big advantage when it comes to the coperate dollar and the TV and radio dollar. I think the fact that we even can compete with them is a big effort. Our marketing people have done a great job to get the exposure they get.

As for trying to get our game stronger on a world stage, just not worth the outlaw of dollars that would be required. Much better to sure up our present market and repel the boys in tight shorts

Grandstand is where its at. AFL is where it aint. If you want to market your sport to a discerning audience who knows that the difference between the teams runs deeper than the colours they turn out in, then don't follow the lead of the AFL. Sure they might get bums on seats, but seriously does anyone who follows the sport know what the f**k those guys on the park are actually doing? At least with league the doubters admit that they don't know the rules and then either find out what they are missing or move the f**k over and let someone else have a look. Funnily enough it only ever seems to be the Storm supporters who buy the shirt before they stop to ask who's in the team...

I was critcising the boring nature of the delivery of ABC, not their analysis of it. They're so boring and monotone if I weren't listening to the TIgers play the last two weeks then I would've switched it off!

On the AFL side of things are you sayng that they only get bms on seats becuase of the team rather than the players that are in that team?

I hate to break it to you but you really do not make any sense.

I do find it funny that you call League fans "discerning". You've obviously never walked past the Burrow. Or the Kennell. Or R2K.. A bunch of Housos if ever I've seen them.
