Todays Telegraph says the Tigers meet with Laurie's management next week to decide on whether they grant him a release.

Release Sheens instead, and most of Laurie's issues will disappear...

Seems strange he is not even on the extended bench in todays Tele with the team lineups.

Someone named Pritchard is the 18th man. The titans forward pack is at full stength and Halatau has been brought in to replace Gibbs. I rate Halatau better than Gibbs but he is no front rower and neither is Galea who has taken Gibbs starting spot.

I hope Skando and Payten have blinders then.

Laurie was warming up on the field last week as 18th man, so how do we lose a prop and now he isnt even in the equation ? No matter how hard i try i cannot get my head around what the coaching staff are playing at ! A the end of the day its their choice as coaches to select who they like but why include the weird head games, it drives me crazy just being a supporter so i wonder what affect it must have on the team. We have had a good run which has taken all the pressure of shines so he is back to his old tricks it seems.

hope so im sick of being a forward short i would rather he play a more forward orientated game with more hit ups closer to the ruck and using his ball skills up the alley.to slow to be running wide these days

Westie, I know Dane pretty well, he is anything but a fruit loop, he speaks to fans, he even walks from Concord to Burwood to catch a train home, he is very non assuming and easy to get along with.

He is very raw but has ability.

I love watching Laurie play. Green as anything but the potential there is massive. I really hope he stays.

It wasn't personal - I've admired those qualities of his on here previously. I just can't ever see him getting his sh*t into gear consistently on the field after the rubbish he pulled for the Maggies in the semi last year. When he's on, he's on big style - when he's not, its ridiculous. Refusing to play while the trainers told him to man up and wouldn't let him off the field... before he finally screwed his head on and went out and put in like a mad thing?! It's not a good attitude and for once I probably agree with Sheens. Though, he should be helping him get it right. Coaches are meant to be mentors.
