WWE has informally approached Jeff Hardy in regards to returning at the end of the summer. However, he must be clean, as there is zero tolerance on his drug issues. Friends are saying that he is working on those drug issues.

Despite reports on other wrestling websites, it doesn't appear that Mark Henry has signed a new contract with WWE. If Henry has, sources within WWE contacted about the story were not aware of it.

From WWE.com:-

Fight breaks out at SummerSlam commercial shoot
May 8, 2006

SmackDown Superstars Batista and Booker T got into a knockdown, drag-out fight Monday afternoon on the set of World Wrestling Entertainment’s SummerSlam commercial shoot in Encino, California. Director of WWE Television Promotions, John Gaburick, tells WWE.com the fight broke out during the filming of a scene in the commercial which will be used to promote SummerSlam later this year. “The fight lasted at least five minutes, it was a brutal, bloody, vicious affair,” says Gaburick. “It took JBL, Mark Henry, Chris Benoit, Finlay and road agent Ricky Steamboat to finally break things up.”

Gaburick says, “Both men were banged up pretty good, both men were bloodied up.” After the fight, Booker T and Batista went behind closed doors to try and clear the air. Gaburick says both Booker T and Batista finished their required work on the commercial before leaving the set. When asked what the fight was about, Gaburick would only say “it’s a personal issue between two men.”

The SummerSlam commercial was filmed Sunday using RAW Superstars and Monday using SmackDown competitors.

A work???? What's going on???

Booker T is such a jobber, I hope Batista deals to him as he dealt to Hasaan & Daivari.

It is a work, but what motive does Batista have to attack Booker T backstage. It will be a good way to bring Batista back and then he can hopefully take out Mark Henry and injure him permanently.

how much more credibility do wrestling sites have to lose before people stop buying into their garbage?

and i wouldn't be surprised if the batista-booker thing was legit. the interview with booker on wwe.com seems to be out of character, and they're both sporting legit injuries.

if they don't work a program in the very near future, it's a shoot.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to step between Batista and Booker T...Both are big, angry men...

From Torch -

- Torch says Booker T/Batista is a shoot

- Independent sources said that the feeling on Batista is that he was acting strange and it irritated the Smackdown regular stars who have been carrying the brand in his absence

- Both had swelling and cuts afterwards, the blows thrown were 100% real

- WWE will most likely fine the two of them and then try to capialize on the fight and make money off of their feud

- Sharmell got involved at least verbally in the end

- Joey Styles rehearsed his pro-ECW, anti-Sports Entertainment speech before RAW to everyone present and all of those in charge agreed that it was good.

- WWE did really well in CA this weekend, despite the crappy crowd reactions. They drew 8,000 to 9,000 fans at different shows.

- Vince isn't completly sold on turning Cena heel because Cena continues to be a merchandise juggernaut. Vince also loves his work ethic and the way he has done so much for the company in ways of appearances and being on the road.

- Triple H and Shawn Michaels are expected to reunite within the next three weeks on TV. However, the DX reunion is expected to be short-term and no new members ore returning are expected either.

- Rey Mysterio is expected to get a nice push when he returns from being off for his knee surgery.

- Deep South is going so badly that there is talk of shutting it down and sending the talent to OVW or just firing them.

- Kurt Angle is being held off TV longer than expected

- Ric Flair recently had eye surgery. He will be back before the June 25 Vengeance PPV in Charlotte, N.C

- The Chavo Guerrero "retirement" storyline is not over. The next part will be controversial. Chavo is being held off TV until after the Smackdown PPV.

- Umaga is being built up for a main event-level push after Summerslam

Maybe it was real. But i just feel that Batista or Booker T are the types of guys going around backstage starting fights.

I don't know if his character will last that long.

I don't mind Umaga. I like Estrada as a manager and Umaga is pretty decent in the ring. Don't know about a main event push... but we'll see how it goes.

n00b question...What's a "shoot"?

And on Umaga...I like him. Good for a big guy. Has some nice moves.

I hate Estrads, though. He's supposed to be Cuban and he has an awful accent (I speak Spanish, see, so I can tell).
