I rather Reigns than Sheamus plus with the injury list there are not a lot of main event guys ready for a run with the belt. My preference would have been Ambrose or if they wanted a heel Owens but I think it's time we had a face champion we have not really had a face champion since Bryan and than cena held the belt in early 2014.

No fan of Reigns, but that was easily the best booked Raw from start to finish in some time. granted it didn't have much competition from this year, but still, moving in the right direction.

Vince Came out told him if he loses he is fired and than watched the match from ringside. Match went back and forth for a while with a few near falls than reigns hit the superman punch and had it won but vince pulled the ref out just before the three count to help Sheamus take control of the match a few more near falls before vince called the ref over to allown the League of Nations to attack reigns who fought off rusev and del rio before Sheamus hit the brogue kick for a two count, Reigns than countered a second brogue kick into a superman punch befor hitting vince with one too. Reigns than hit spear for the win was a pretty good match that had me genuinely invested in the outcome.

That was a ratings Raw, i really hope they got the highest ratings in a long time, just so they see the advantage of having the belt dropped on raw once and a while as a shock.

I actually went the other way and thought he was going lose as it would have made sense to help build a match between him and HHH plus it would have been a good way to remove reigns from the world title picture and out of the rumble( limiting reigns to a run in on an authority guy). Also by being fired he could have reverted back to those shield phone camera promos. I have to admit when Sheamus came out first I thought he may be dropping it but the firing stipulation was not a dead giveaway.

With the Usos and Lucha Dragons getting booed for attacking The New Day is that technically a heel turn for them? Or are WWE going to carry on as if they are still the fan favourites? The promo The New Day cut in the lead up was something you'd expect out of a face team too.

I doubt Vince will acknowledge it any more than he acknowledges the booing that Reigns and Cena have been getting for an eternity.

I wouldn't call the New Day promo a babyface one, given it was all a swerve so that they could celebrate in front of the teams they beat.

That was hands down the best raw this year, and I'm not even a fan of Reigns.

So now I guess Sheamus gets his rematch at Royal Rumble, Roman verses HHH at FastLane then at WM32 it'll be Brock Reigns II or Cena vs Reigns. In fact I wouldn't be suprised if Hunter wins the Rumble to feed his nose and ego.

I also found the New Day v Usos/dragon dudes dynamic a bit weird. Seems New Day or more popular, but made out to be heels.
