in a way cesaro and kevin owens are similiar because they can both have great matches. they are both great in the ring, but owens is better at connecting with the crowd (even though he is supposed to be a heel). i am hoping owens beats cena for the u.s. title. the wwe often uses the u.s. title and intercontinental title for those who could be the main stars of the future

Got any matches you'd recommend SGL?

The only match that's really hit a chord with me was between Spud/Carter III which was really well put together sports entertainment match.

The rest I've come across have suffered from the aforementioned issues.

Last weeks EC3 vs Kurt Angle for the TNA World Title was well done (as was his backstage promo afterward). So was the 30 minute Iron Man Tag Team match between The American Wolves vs The Dirty Heels for the TNA Tag Titles.

And he wouldn't be the first guy to come in with a greenlit push only to drop off.

Look at Jericho.

Comes in with big plans.

Months later he's working nothing matches against X-Pac and Chyna.

Owens is a great talent but he's got aspects going against him.

That's an indictment of the WWE's awful booking historically. For every Stone Cold, The Rock, or CM Punk - they've got a dozen Rusevs, Umagas, Ambroses, Wyatts, Kingstons, and Cesaros.

Is it sports entertainment you're looking for? I've always preferred enjoyable wrestling, so my tastes tend to differ. I do agree TNA overbooks the shit out of things, but even the recent Wolves/Dirty Heels best of five series was full of excellent wrestling.

That's a bit unfair on Cesaro. He started to connect with the crowd as a big swing using heel and so Vince made him stop using it.

because he was meant to be a heel, under Heyman, but using the Swing gets the crowd behind him, the opposite of what you want.

I've pretty much said from the start, one of the reasons I'd like to see Owens stay on NXT is because it's a brand that's going places and it will give him more leverage if he can point to those tours. Otherwise, he's got aspects (eg. look, weaknesses abiding to heel psychology etc.) that can be criticised and will be tested once Vince or Dunn get bored of him.

Yes, it's on the WWE.

It's also on the performer too. While Jericho is criticised these days for being a corporate shill, back when he wasn't pulling any punches, even he admitted that he didn't have a clue about psychology and how to build a match until he had Pat Patterson and Sean Waltman help him out.

It takes time for performers to adjust to a certain style and while I'm sure Owens will go onto have a good career, as somebody who's a fan, I want the best.

Rushing him onto TV doesn't guarantee the best, hence my position.

And no, it isn't about sports entertainment. I like wrestling when it's built on logic and not about spamming high spots without selling them like they mean a damn. I'd much rather watch a guy like Zayn who sells his ass off than the Young Bucks who execute the same ol' high spots and basically work the same ol' match against junior tag teams.

That's more my style and more in-tune with what wrestling has been about for decades.

Because, he wasn't being used as a full heel during the match, him interrupting Owens made him more of a face, plus him and Kidd, were turning before his injury.

Raw last night was somewhat predictable. So, Kane is on holiday in Hawaii meaning J&J security have no backup. Brock comes out and destroys their car, breaks Jamie Nobles arm, then suplex's Joey Mercury onto the hood of the damaged car... pretty much taking them out for the next PPV!

When I saw this I immediately thought of late 90s kane with his mask, wearing a hawaiian shirt and using is electrolarynx to order Pina Coladas.

Guys, what days/times is the wrassling on?

I used to be a massive fan, but dropped off in 2003. Now when I rarely watch it, there's barely anyone I know. Gonna try to get back into it.

You're going to love it bro. Maven just beat Chris Masters for the world title. Unfortunately Carlito and his apple aren't around anymore....he prefers pears now.

I’ve never gotten such a blatant indicator of just how terrible the Bellas are as this. When in the same ring as the NXT girls they look like complete Rookies. I guess not getting ring time can do that to anyone
