Also, WWE has finally confirmed the signing of Prince Devitt. Kind of surprised how much detail they went into about his NJPW run, seeing as KENTA was given a general Japanese Superstar review with one passing mention of Noah.

I'm okay with Bo dropping the streak at this point, just disagree about the choice of opponent.

It could have been a good way to open a feud between him and an NXT rookie. Or even give Zack Ryder something to do.

Otherwise a really solid show. I liked how they mixed it up this week and gave a different angle the spotlight. I've been a big advocate of mixing the main event/focus of the show up to sell different cards on the PPV.

Fantastic signings, both of them.

I sincerely hope they don't make KENTA stay down in NXT for too long. The guy could wrestle circles around 90% of the current roster, and it's a tad insulting to make him retrain when he's one of the great innovators.

You know a storyline just isn't connecting if people have more interest in seeing Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury, and Fit Finlay do a run in...

Odd. Last week's Stephanie/Brie segment was hugely popular, with fans really into it. They were also super into this segment until it devolved into a brawl. Girls fighting outside of jelly pits or without clothes being torn isn't going to get people fired up.

Steph cutting promos and Brie calling her a bitch? White hot heat.

Good to see the best character in WWE for ages get jobbed out to someone who never wins. f**king stupid.

I don't have a problem with it at all. Bo was never really about his streak - he beat jobbers and tag team workers almost exclusively. He was about being a cocky asshole who grinned and high fived and generally carried on like a dick.

Him losing and snapping - proving that veneer was nothing more than for show - is a good direction for him to go in. The guy is a heel and excels as such. He doesn't need a streak of meaningless wins over guys like Titus and Fernando to be over.

KENTA going to NXT is more for him to polish up his English than any true training outside of the "WWE style".

They wanted Davey Richards to go there too.

I get it for the standard array of models, body builders, and people with 'the look' they hire - but if a guy like CM Punk or Danielson or Devitt has had the seasoning they have, they shouldn't have to learn how to work 'WWE style'.

Wrestling's so damned homogenized these days.

You can tell they've got a real life friendship by both their chemistry in the ring and the fact Cena made him look like a million bucks.

True.

I was just thinking it was a great match for several reasons:

* the in-ring chemistry was great;
* the see-sawing nature of the match was exciting;
* Cena busted out some moves I haven't seen him use in a long time;
* Cena got the win, which heading into SummerSlam, makes sense;
* but by the same token, Cesaro looked strong and have Cena a run for his money.

I was thoroughly impressed. I'm a huge Cesaro fan, but I can take or leave Cena - but he did a great job in this match.
