So what if he’s 18, it’s first grade.

When Moylan is back (which now must be next week), he needs a spell with the Jets.

Tough call but it will be for the long term good.

Nothing wrong with being dropped early in the career...steve Waugh once was dropped!

ET was dropped too. He was ordinary when he came in. Also had a very big head. Gibson fixed that

He was brought in through injury. We have no one else

If Moylan is back next week, xerri will be back at jets

My point is xerri is a rookie, he’s 18, he’s cheap at his age. He was only brought in through injury and has done really well the fill that hole for us.

Dugan is experienced, soaking up heaps of the cap, making multiple mistakes every week.

If there was someone in the team that we need more from, it’s dugan.
I think we are making the same point - I agree with you!

Plenty of upside and value to be gained out of Xerri.

Dugan is all downhill from here, and terrible value/return on investment.

Would shift him to left wing outside Morris. He looks much more suited to the left hand side and he can learn from moz. Dugan back to right centre with gray outside him.

Imagine the media stories we'll read if Xerri goes back to Newtown for a bit? They'll have him off to another club by June 30 etc, etc, etc.

Will be hilarious.

I thought Williams was excellent. Morris’s plan was a good one but in that last 20 min we were beaten by their defensive effort. The ref also had a problem seeing their offside.

But Dugan thinks he is an elite fullback...……….. ….not even top ten.

Does not like the wing or internet and media meanies.

But hey is a top bloke, tries weally, weally hard and gives to charity.

You know like paying a bloke 20k a game to kick balls out on the full, and drop the ball, often, usually for a try or to sit on the bench.

Our centres are not the problem.

Rather Xerri in the top grade, but never wing, Jets centre second choice, couple of games in the Jets would not hurt right now, just to remind him of the step up, wont learn to play with Johnson, Nikora and Moylan there but.

Morris’s game plan was not excellent.
He was out coached by des. The defensive plan of moving up quickly on the outside put pressure on the halves. The slow dummy half service didn’t help that at all.
The adjustment should have come early and made the atrackers stand deeper. The early kick in behind the line to put the defence in 2 minds would have helped too.

Instead, we ran slow forwards one out into an aggressive forward pack. We wrestled on our feet. We played flat to our fast guys. They got late shit ball and we looked terrible.

All of the footy that was played last week and the week before when our guys played with speed, depth and eyes up, went completely out the window.

Morris needs to have another plan so he can adjust on the run if needed.

Simply, it wasn’t a good enough effort from 1-17. Without effort the execution suffered.

I agree about Williams. He was good. But a young bloke shouldn’t have to carry a veteran pack forward.

Not going back down the track of blaming the Ref, but two shocking decisions made in Manlys favour, cost us a couple of tries!

I’d like to see a replay of that Townsend pass that was called forward prior to Manly’s first try.

I think it is the best indication I can ever recall of a ball obviously thrown back & floating forward.

Fooled the officials & it cost us!

I watched it on replay and the Channel 9 blokes all agreed it was a bad / wrong decision. Cold comfort.
The Brailey no try was just another example of Cronullifiaction, I bet Manly would have been awarded it in similar circumstances.

There were a lot of “what if’s” in the game. Very similar to the roosters game in which we could have gone into halftime at 6 all instead 5 minutes into the second half it was 18 nil.

What pissed me off the most was just the pure dumbness of that midfield bomb which lead to walker scoring. We looked like a deadset bunch of clowns. It was all over from that point.

On a side note that young fella for manly that made his debut looks like a real goer. He was loving the contact against the big boppas

Imagine how fast he could run if he didn’t have those spoilers on either side of his head
