Sure was. Usually, by the time they finished me off & got to Snout, there was no Goanna oil left.

*When they ran out of Goanna oil, I used to request Creosote.
Those were the days Sad...burning ring of fire blasting out in the sheds.
Booyah!

OK, I’m on the dis bandwagon now with this nuffie.

Scored a try against lowly Penrith.

Anything else I’m missing apart from a lovely “welcome to first grade” viral video and being an overrated faaarkup?

Let's not forget, he's 18 years old, playing in a team missing some serious talent, a team that is playing very clunky and a team who are not playing tonhis strengths.
He appears to have all the the natural talent, has shown glimpses of brilliance, but also is making rookie errors (who'd have thought it, from a rookie).
We have to give him time, and at least hold or writing him off until he's played in the team when it's something like full strength and at least playing with a bit or form and consistency.
He's come into the team at a fairly low point, there's been lots of chopping and changing or the players around him - my gut feel is he'll come good!

His basic skills aren’t there. Can’t catch, can only pass left to right.

The hype on the kid is underwhelming. He needs a stint in the Jets when Moylan comes back. Dugan can be a centre again and try not to f**k that up.

You may well be right and I hope you are. His talent is undoubted. His maturity and application are not there yet. I hope the hype doesn't go to his head and that he realises he has a shit load of work to do to be an effective NRL player.

Is everyone forgetting he is only playing first grade because if injuries?

He’d be at jets still if we were full strength

FFS. He s 18.

He will be as good as Mitchel in 3 years, who by the way had a rough first year also.

Xerri will be the best centre since Et at the Sharks.

Give him time and experience

This, get it through your heads.

Doing damn well for teenager

He f**ked up as much as Dugan, but on a quarter of his wage, and 200 + less nrl games behind him
I don't think he's made nearly as many clangers as Doogs.
That being said, I don't think Dugan is a good yardstick to measure against.

He’s allowed to do all that and yes he is 18 but my gripe is really with the fluffballs who put the pressure on by making cult heroes out of these kids way too early and base it all on superficial and fleeting glimpses of brilliance

It’s like taking a brick and calling it a castle.

So many foundations still to be put in place before the pomp and grandeur can be marvelled at.

Go back and read the shit said about him when he scored against Penrith. May as well have made him an immortal that week there were so many tadpoles being shot around the room LOL

My point is xerri is a rookie, he’s 18, he’s cheap at his age. He was only brought in through injury and has done really well the fill that hole for us.

Dugan is experienced, soaking up heaps of the cap, making multiple mistakes every week.

If there was someone in the team that we need more from, it’s dugan.

So what if he’s 18, it’s first grade.

When Moylan is back (which now must be next week), he needs a spell with the Jets.

Tough call but it will be for the long term good.

Nothing wrong with being dropped early in the career...steve Waugh once was dropped!
