People complain that the Gold Coast are a constant failure and need to go. Imagine they did all this and took 50 years to win a fkn comp?

The Cronulla Sharks. Rugby league's greatest mistake.

They were brought into the league for negative cynical reasons. Not to "expand" the competition into new areas, nor for the betterment of the game as a whole, but merely to limit the power and reach of the game's dominant club at the time. They should have gone the way of the Sth Qld Crushers.

Soon after the club was in financial strife, appointed an administrator and needed a bailout loan. The league gave them one, but didn't afford the same luxury to other struggling clubs Wests or Newtown.

Later they tried to sell the club to a celebrity quack Dr Jeff Edelstein, without NSRWL approval or advice. It was denied.

Peptide scandal

Salary cap cheating

Xerri Ben Johnson

We didn't start the fire

In Rugby League terms, that's a fairly innocuous list.

Some clubs manage to tick off all those things by breakfast on Mad Monday......

I get that but spilt seconds aren’t making that much difference in rugby league. I am not saying he shouldn’t be punished just that he shouldn’t get punished the same as a swimmer, runner, cyclist, weight lifter.
Again, if you start to have selective punishments for different sports, in my opinion, it opens a whole can of worms that we don't want.

Ddone well to make the focus of this situation the "conspiracy theory of the delay in results" rather than the pharmacy that Xerri is alleged to have eaten

MLB seems to have its own set of rules for PEDs. I think maybe America has told ASADA to go sit on it.
ASADA is Australias Anti Doping Agency, MLB would be USADA and they are all under the umbrella of WADA (World Anti Dopin Agency)

At 19, he'd be tried as an adult, and rightfully so, considering he is an adult... It's easy to understand - The "he's a kid" statement is irrelevant and erroneous

it is well known that at 19 the frontal lobe of the brain is not fully developed and people make bad decisions at that age.

What would be wrong with 18 months suspension rather than 4 years?

Because it sends a message that drug cheating in some circumstances is ok. It is never ok.

Once you start being soft on punishment on younger players, you're basically giving some allowance for it. Pretty simple

You sound ridiculous, why should he get a light punishment? Every man and his dog knows testosterone is the performance enhancer of choice for athletes, he blatantly cheated knowing the rules and the risks. Are you a Cronulla fan out of interest?

when the sharks and essendon had their peds scandals, the punishment was 2 years during their saga WADA incresed the punishment to 4 years which makes sense, Olympics are every 4 years so you get done for doping you miss the olympics
