Interesting team. Nice win.
Dont think Matip or Clyne should have played.
The Brazilians are class.

Karius had nothing to do apart from the Bent chance.
Henderson looking good.
Grujic needs to go on loan.

Origi is class.
Horrible that we only play 1 striker and it is usually Firmino.
So much depth.

Interesting game this weekend.
Need to keep momentum up.
I don't think it's horrible at all, we don't need to play 2 strikers just because we have a few on the payroll. Playing with 1 striker patently works for us. If we play with 2 strikers, that cuts our central midfield down to two, and you aren't a fan of Hendo being in a midfield 2. So you can't have it both ways!

Also these days, lots of clubs only play 1 striker formations, a number of whom don't play with someone who is actually an out and out striker in the side. It is very common in lots of leagues (e.g. Spain, Germany, Italy to name a few). A number of EPL clubs also don't play a 2 striker formation either.

Also CB4, you say Grujic need to go out on loan. Klopp said at the tail end of last season, he would rather have young players stay at the club rather than go out on loan so he can work with them on the training paddock. AS such I don't think that will be happening any time soon. Also you said Matip should not have played, well then who should have? Considering Lovren was rested, Gomez is not back to full fitness, nor is Sakho who would you have picked considering Klavan was in the starting side.

very few do, that's what made leicesters win all the more special, it was a f**k you to the 4-2-3-1, 4-5-1, 4-2-2-2 etc formations that are all the rage. they won with a flat 4-4-2. that's unheard of in 2016.

Lone striker is definitely the norm these days

Didn't mean horrible in a bad way. More so, horrible in the players we have.

Bobby, Sturridge, Origi, Ings - fitting into one role.

Now I see why people are slating Optus. Thought as I was up I'd watch Liverpool v Hull. Took ages to even get their dumb sports website to load, and then I get "We are experiencing server problems" message. No shit Sherlock. Talk about a screw up, I can't believe how bad it is. I now know why others were so frustrated.

Going by the match reports LFC are giving it to Hull. Halftime is 3-0. Have had 76% possession. LFC have had 15 shots at goal to Hull's 0. Interestingly Klopp picked Karius in-goal with Klavan and Matip at CB, with Milner at LB and Clyne at RB.

Optus finally fixed the problem in time for the start of the 2nd half. Thank heavens for that.

Can see why 3-0 at halftime. Really moving the ball around well. Lallana's goal was class. Hull had a player red carded for a deliberate hand ball in the box - the ball was goal bound with pace when the defender intervened. Milner converted from the resulting penalty.

We conceded from a corner again early in the 2nd half to make it 3-1, but Coutinho then mere seconds later strieks a stunner fro about 22 yards out to make it 4-1 after 53 minutes.

Finished 5-1 in the end. Hull never in it even before they lost a defender in the 20th minute for the red card. The defence looked a lot calmer with Karius between the sticks, seemed to settle the defence down with someone who comes across as calmer and more self assured than Mignolet.

I had no problems with it and I had it on the Ipad and the Phone.
Great game, relentless pressing.
James Milner looks a quality left back.
Still feel we are missing something in the midfield, but it is working.

Lallana has turned into a quality player. That roaming midfield role is his, and he is brilliant at it.
I still think Sturridge needs to start, but if it ain't broke...

Disappointing to concede and again from a set piece, but Apollo you are right, Karius looks class.

Lallana is almost doing what Kante did for Leicester, just a bit less relentless closing down and a bit more goals and assists

This weekend's game will be an interesting test, Swansea City at Liberty Stadium. Since they returned to the Premier League, Swansea have a 4-1 record over Liverpool there. The game is important as Man City are playing Tottenham on Sunday so it is a chance for us to gain ground on the top 2.

Only injury worry is Divock Origi who has a foot injury and is in doubt. Everyone else is fully fit, including Lovren.

I will admit when down 1-0 at halftime I had that Burnley sinking feeling. However the lads rallied in the second half and beat Swansea 2-1 thanks to goal from Firmino and Milner (which was from a penalty kick). Bit of luck too as Swansea scuffed a chance or two. 4 straight wins though and up to second spot. Who'd have thought that.

Only real blemish is the team still seem to have problems defending corners as that is where Swansea's goal was scored from.

Hopefully the Lallana injury isn't to serious as well.

We had a few chances to bury them in the second half as well. we fought to get the win which was most pleasing as opposed to blowing teams away in the first half.

Hopefully that goal boosts Studgies confidence.
Henderson is growing from strength to strength as well.

Wijnaldum out of the Man U game, picked up an injury in the Netherlands vs France game. Could also be without Lovren and Clyne.

Can would come straight into the side for Gini you'd imagine. If lallana is out as well then I wouldn't mind Couts dropping a bit deeper and playing Studge, Bobby and Mane up front together.

Clyne out is definitely a concern as we really don't have cover for RB.

Surely that would mean Milner to RB and Moreno to LB, which is a disaster waiting to happen.
We let Flanno go on loan with no decent back up either.

Still think we will get the job done against them.

Why does it mean Milner to RB and Moreno to LB? Reports since late last week have been that both Lovren and Clyne are back in full training and are better than even chances to be fit for tomorrow's game.
