The other downside was Jordan Henderson's yellow card in the 2nd half. That see him suspended for the next leg of the tie. Hope Can is fit otherwise we could have a bit of a hole to fill in midfield.

Terrible fixture playing Everton slap bang in the middle of two CL games. Full strength team would beat Everton handily as they are a mess... expecting a much weakened team though as we cannot afford to risk injury in key areas as the squad depth isn’t there. Salah won’t be risked I’m sure, Firmino, Mane, Ox, Robertson and Van Dijk I can see being rested also.

A 0-0 draw. We could have won if Solanke or Ings could hit the side of a barn door. Cripes they don't convert chances well. Oh well.

On an unrelated note, the Daily Express are reporting that LFC are looking to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus. Will admit I'd be surprised if this happened as plenty of clubs are chasing him.

The front three are deadly. They fed on scraps and still scored twice. A half fit Mo Salah is still one of the most dangerous forwards in the world. I’d be resting all the top players for the league games and focus on the CL now.

Van Dijk is a huge presence at the back and has made the team alot harder to break down. City had just 3 shots on target over two games. Unreal.

Liverpool are sitting in 3rd (on goal difference from Tottenham) on 67 points, which is 10 points clear of Chelsea and 13 points clear of Arsenal. Liverpool have 5 games to play, whilst all the other teams in the top 6 have 6 games to play. As such resting our top players for all those games would probably see us fall out of the top 4 as the squad does not have the depth to rest all the top players, especially in light of the injuries suffered in the last couple of weeks.

LFC's remaining Premier League fixtures -

Bournemouth at Anfield;
WBA at The Hawthorns;
Stoke at Anfield;
Chelsea at Stanford Bridge; and
Brighton at Anfield.

Also we don't have a fixture this weekend, so the players will be getting a rest. Some might get arrest here and there, but you can't afford to rest our best players for all 5 of the above fixtures.

So we have drawn Roma in the semis.

Probably the "easiest" opponent to be drawn with, but would much rather have got Real. More chance of beating them over 2 legs than in a final imo.

Klopp was bitter AF after the West Brom game.

He’s turned into a right proper scouser. :joy:
