The other downside was Jordan Henderson's yellow card in the 2nd half. That see him suspended for the next leg of the tie. Hope Can is fit otherwise we could have a bit of a hole to fill in midfield.

The front three are deadly. They fed on scraps and still scored twice. A half fit Mo Salah is still one of the most dangerous forwards in the world. I’d be resting all the top players for the league games and focus on the CL now.
Van Dijk is a huge presence at the back and has made the team alot harder to break down. City had just 3 shots on target over two games. Unreal.
Liverpool are sitting in 3rd (on goal difference from Tottenham) on 67 points, which is 10 points clear of Chelsea and 13 points clear of Arsenal. Liverpool have 5 games to play, whilst all the other teams in the top 6 have 6 games to play. As such resting our top players for all those games would probably see us fall out of the top 4 as the squad does not have the depth to rest all the top players, especially in light of the injuries suffered in the last couple of weeks.
LFC's remaining Premier League fixtures -
Bournemouth at Anfield;
WBA at The Hawthorns;
Stoke at Anfield;
Chelsea at Stanford Bridge; and
Brighton at Anfield.
Also we don't have a fixture this weekend, so the players will be getting a rest. Some might get arrest here and there, but you can't afford to rest our best players for all 5 of the above fixtures.
We have Bournemouth at Anfield this weekend.
Turned out to be a bargain.No, its ridiculous money. 35-40 mill is probably what he is worth
Well that makes you an utter merkin.I've always found The Sun to be an excellent source of football news, especially regarding Liverpool
