Well LFC are through to the Group Stage after walloping Hoffenheim 4-2 in the second leg. Mane, Firmino and Saleh were at their best, with Can getting two goals. Can and Henderson did a lot of work in the midfield and ran all over the place. Still a little whobble at the back, as apparently Lovren had yet another poor game and was responsible for Hoffenhemi's1st goal, but thankfully we were already up 3-0.

As to Couthino, ESPNFC reckon Barca's 4th bid will be for 138 million pounds.
More so responsible for Hoff's second goal. The first goal was Moreno's failure to close the scorer down.

We were very lethal up front and still vulnerable at the back. It shits me that everyone has to feel nervous when Hoffenheim peg one goal back, even if the aggregate is 5-2.

Haha yeah I wasn't confident in the result at all until there was about 5 minutes left.

Just watched their first goal again, I was wrong, it was much more so Lovren's fault, his screw up made it hard for Moreno close him down

Lovren was at fault for both goals.
Get Virgil and play him next to Robertson and we will be sorted.

We jagged a very good group for the champions league imo. Maribor, Spartak Moscow and Sevilla. It's a group we can definitely progress from and possibly win.

I thought the same last time we were there, except winning the group when we had Real Madrid to play.

Couldn't have asked for a better draw. Need to capitalise on this from the get go.

We were so bad last time under BR. Thankfully we are a much better side this time around, just hope they rip in like they did against hoffenheim in first 20.

4-0 against Arsenal. Mane, Saleh, Firmino, Henderson and Can all had blinders apparently. Even Sturridge got a goal coming on as a replacement. Ripped Arsenal a new arse :D (sorry, I could not resist the pun).

Only interesting point, Mignolet was rested for Karius to start in goal.

Can was phenomenal. That was one of the best midfield performances I have seen at Anfield.
Firmino is stepping into the World Class bracket.
So is Salah.
Mane is there. I can't think of a player I would swap him for.

Karius, wow. He was so bad and somehow kept a CS.

bent them over, 0 shots on target. was pretty confident before the game tbh, arsenal don't pose the threat they used to.

wenger looks to have completely lost it. arsenal could really go down the tube this season/summer, ozil and sanchez not signing new deals, same with ox, average at best defence, average midfield. they're in the shit, wenger better get spending.

When it came to actual goalkeeping, he was good, he got a few good punches out. As for all that f**king around he did with the ball at his feet...no idea. I was wondering how many times he needed to gesture 'sorry' to the boys before it sunk in to just kick the f**king ball.

Love Mane.Love a player with pace.
He's the Sterling with x factor.
On Salah.
Don't think I've seen any Liverpool winger/midfielder get as many opportunities to score in their first 4/5 games for us.
Got to the stage you know chances are going to go his way.
Slight criticism is he could bury a few more but don't know that others would get into the positions he does.
Bit strange the keeper selection and he would've Klopped it if he'd stuffed up with the ball at his feet but it's worked out well.Hope it keeps Mignolet on his toes.

Pretty sure Mignolet was sick, that's why he was dropped. it was reported a day or two ago.
Just got messaged Coutinho gone.
Think I read148 million but not sure.I wiped the text before I got to the story.
It's ok was only a paper headline Daily Star.
Got a second message same thing but it neglected to say it's just a report.
Said it was dependant on us signing someone else so as soon as I read that you know it's rubbish.

Just watched the arsenal replay and it was truly a complete team Performance.

Arsenal are in deep shit, you don't mind losing on talent but when players don't put in and carry that sort of attitude, then it spells doom for Arsene and the club.

We really showcased a wonderful counter attacking style of football. The more Bobby, Mo and Sadio work together the more lethal we will become.

We were really helped out by an industrious and effective midfield. All 3 didn't put a foot wrong. It helped that Arsenal were completely toothless but we deserve plenty of credit for making them play that way.

I can't believe they actually thought a back 3 would work against our frightening pacy wingers.

I legit believe we are 1-2 signings away from being one of the challengers. Get a quality CB, throw Ward in goal and possibly another CM and we're good to go.

If we can keep Pip even better as his vision would be frightening playing in Salah and Mané and working off Bobby F.

We've officially bid for Lemar apparently... I think the plan will be to try and land him first then let Coutinho go.

Won't be easy to get this done at the last minute though, Monaco has already been pillaged this window so don't think they will let him go for nothing.

I don't see how Lemar is a replacement for Couts. If we are replacing Couts position from last season then we've already got Salah in. If it's to replace him in a deeper midfield role like he was meant to play this season then going after another forward/winger makes no sense.

Really don't understand the lemar link unless Klopp wants to develop him in a deeper role.
