Best thing to happen this season for Hendo has been Stevie getting injured. His whole game has improved further since putting Captains armband on. Another cracking goal and some Stevie G like passes as well.

He's definitely lifted a level for sure.

The way the team has been playing recently without Stevie G helps put me at ease that there is definately life without him.

Also I don't want to put the mocker on him but I think Emre Can is a seriously good footballer, he just oozes class. I'd like to say he will play his career with us but if a Madrid/Bayern/PSG comes in for him at least we will make a nice profit on him.

Would love to see a future Emre/Hendo engine room. They both can run for days as well, can has such composure on the ball as well. Been great for us all season. Another clean sheet which is 6 out of the last 8 I believe.

Tired tired performance. Hardly a decent shot on goal. I think this was the 5th 0-0 at Anfield this season.

Apparently the replay will be between the Man U and Arse fixtures...

I'll be pissed if skrtel misses an extended run, that forward of theirs was such a clumsy f**ker nearly took out countinho and sterling too, games like that were you feel like it's not worth it.

At the moment, Can looks infinitely better in the back 3. He was too slow, gave rovers too much time to settle, and cheaply gave the ball away. Our only player who looked threatening was Balotelli. allen was injured, which explains the reshuffle including Johnson and can. The pitch looked absolutely horrendous too. Just a shit, slow and boring game. Nothing else to say.

Thought I'd post something from another site I saw this morning. See what others think about who we are looking at.

Ed002's Note - Much of this will change by the summer and there are major dependencies on (a) players leaving (b) how much money the club can raise through sales (remembering that Liverpool will be probably be looking to sell players by January to offset FFP issues), and (c) Champions League qualification. However, there is known to be (or have recently been) some level of interest in the following players:

GK: Ochoa, Neto, Sportiello (unconfirmed at this time), Romero, Ryan, Ruddy. The club have also looked at many others.
RB: Danilo (certainly won't happen). I am not sure what will happen to Wisdom. I suspect a new deal for Flanagan but if Manquillo and Johnson both leave then the club will look for a new RB. If Rodgers remains as manager it is not out of the question that Ibe may be tried in a wing back role. Alternative is that MAnquillo stays and RB is no longer a priority.
CB: I suspect a new deal will be offered to Toure and the club will have to have a clear out of CBs in any case. I doubt a CB is a priority.
MF: Milner, Khedira, Pjanic (outrageously expensive), Vazquez
F/W: Ings, Vietto, Gameiro, Baez (a WP would be an issue initially), Kishna (I understand that old interest has been rekindled but it is hard to see how he would fit in), Lacazette (not going to happen). Two other players the club were interested in - Bakkali (I suspect Liverpool have stepped back from their interest like many other clubs) and Andre Ayew (a free agent who Liverpool enquired about last summer - no obvious interest right now but it may return).

If Liverpool do qualify for the Champions League and if further funds can be made available through sales, it would not be out of the question for Liverpool to look to one of the following as an option:

GK: Cech
MF: Carvalho, Turan
F/W: Benzema

And who would be my choice of players who will be available?

GK: Handanovic
RB: Darmain
CB: Balanta - Caniggia wanted Liverpool to move for Balanta more than two years ago - and he has got better. Rogers ignored the advice. He shouldn't have done. If Liverpool need a CB
MF: Matuidi, Morgan Sanson
F/W: Mitrovic - I don't see a long term future for Lambert and Mitrovic would give Liverpool a very good option that they are missing right now. Rodgers will regret using the words "Origi" and "world-class" in the same sentence. }

Wow, the most comprehensive reply he's ever done. Such a simple, lazy question too

As for the said scenario is UCL is achieved, and funds, I would be very happy with all of those mentioned players, except from maybe Turan who's injured a lot.

Yeah it was a brilliant response nick, Ed001 asked the question and ed002 answered, which is probably why it's so detailed.

Apparently Turan would love to move to us, being such a massive LFC fan but cost would be massive unfortunately.

Yeah it's clearly a case of a player keen but that's where it stops. Injuries and cost being the 2 main factors against I'd assume.

Swansea are all over us here so far, we are very flat...

I sense a goal coming from Swansea but if that's the case hopefully it might spring us into action
