I'm lacking something severe in the rebounds department. Besides Jeff, i've dont have a consistant 10+ rebound guy...

Just on those lopsided trades - theres a difference between getting value and insulting people. Some of the offers i've got from MC84 have been mind blowingly(not a word but whatevs) bad for me. I'm always scared i'll accidentally press accept when I go to decline. Didn't that happen to someone last year??

And on the Kobe trade, its amazing he didn't hold out longer or be more aggressive in offering trades with Kobe. You could have gutted a team for him..

Oh well let the fun begin!

I'm open to trade offers but not looking to trade down good players for depth. If im moving a bigger name I expect one back.

i could of and probley should of but im happy with the trade it seems a lot of u's under-rate Redd 26.7 ppg is pretty damn good Kobe only scored 5 more than him and in the other areas i upgrade my rebounding and assists as well as f/g%

im more suprised no one picked Craig Smith the guy is a star 18-8 this year u watch ;-)

While i like everyone on my team individually a lot, as a team it's not adding up. I should murder people in the Points stat, but i have no Assists, my % stats are poor due to everyone being a perimeter shooter other than Amare, Blocks & Rebounds both depend entirely on Amare and Josh Smith, and basically everyone is a turnover machine. Don Nelson moving Al Harrington to the bench doesn't help matters either.

Still, drool-worthy potential for point scoring. 9, possibly 10 guys that should average at least 15 points a game, four of them should average 20, and Joe Johnson in particular could be a top 5 scorer in the league this season.

Redd is a fine player but Kobe is a automatic top 5 pick at the least where as Redd is a 3 rounder imo. But hey you could pull the wool over everyones eyes

im excited to see how many points I can rack up

Gilbert in a contract year? aww shiittt.. I reckon he'll be around 30
Gordon 20+ guy, if traded may have to become the #1 scorer(hell may need to for the bulls anyway)
Hamilton and Anthony = 20+ maybe more guys
Bosh and Boozer = 20/10
Noci, Ford and Bied = around 15

with wildcards like smith and yi.. who knows

By the way, can I just say that I'm excited about being in a league with so many Sharks fans. That's always fun!

 Oh wait....not funny!

Speaking of winners :p , has Douglasallen won all the LU Fantasy basketball games since it started? How many previous years has this been going for?

Translation: Thank you Minnesota Tigers for accepting the most lop-sided trade in 07-08 history. Please enjoy the scrutiny from the rest which you deserve while Kobe lights it up for me alongside Vince Carter, who I also got through a lop-sided traded that some other clown accepted. Thank you, thank you.

(Ugh! Unbelievable!!!!!!) ](*,)

You talk alot of smack Coconut you loook at the big name not the fantasy stats.

Hmmmmmm, let's see. By your own admission he wants out of Los Angelas (everyone knows that). He has the only active no-trade clause in the league. He is playing with Derek Fisher at the point (which will give him at least 5-10 more shots than when Smush Parker ran the show). In essence, he's in a contract year, and everyone knows what happens to a budding star in a contract year (see Vince Carter/Tracy McGrady pre-trade stats for more details).

Until Kobe gets injured, you deserve to be killed by everyone in the league. Who the hell plays fantasy anything on the basis of injury-hyperbole? In any case, everyone should be praising MC84 for his savvy. After an ordinary draft (even MC will admit that) he's cream-puffed everyone into bending over while organising the strongest team in the league.

MC, I salute you! Haha! :D;-)

Well by then Vince Carter is going to have a sh*t season so trading him off was a good idea.

Let me justify my trade...
VC: As above, none the less a very good fantasy player all round monster
Redd: Point and %ages, Otherwise lacking, Not what I need one my team, Happy to see him go
Prince: Good all round but nothing specatcular, Plus detriot is in a downhill slump

Pierce: In my opinion slightly better than VC but not by too much.
J-Rich: Gona be a monster at Charlotte. Points, threes, rebounds more than compensates the loss of Redd
Miller: I need another PG. Puts up big numbers in assists and rebounds are huge for a PG.

Lets look at yahoo expert rankings (which i dont alwyas agree on)

Pierce 19 J-Rich 29 Miller 68 = 116
VC 23 Redd 30 Prince 89 = 142

I got the better end of this deal Coconut.

Yeah, good call #-oAt the same time, I'm not the guy who...

...traded for Andre Miller because you wanted more assists, which would've made perfect sense except you already had Steve Nash and Vince Carter (who threw 221 more assists than Jason Richardson last year) in the lineup.

...really believes that Paul Pierce is going to have the same production playing alongside Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.

...said that Jason Richardson's "points, threes and rebounds more than compensate the loss of Redd." Of course Michael Redd scored more points than Jason Richardson, hit more three's than Jason Richardson, and shoots a higher % than Jason Richardson from all parts of the floor. But whatever...

...occasionally disagrees with Yahoo Rankings, but thought it appropriate to add up the rankings as a justifiable defense. It should also be noted that according to the rankings that currently has Amare Stoudamire ranked @ #9 in the league, even though he's not going to contribute anything for three weeks.

Anyways, I'm happy for you to think you got the better end of this deal. Who cares that the person you traded with happily admits he throws bum trades and hasn't defended your cause once. He was smiling all the way to the bank, of course. I don't care about names, I'm all about the stats (hell, look at my forwards/centres), which is why I'm confused by the trade.

But don't mind me, I'm just the disgruntled guy who wasn't afraid to click "Reject Trade" when a dud was offered...

(And for what it's worth, I really don't think your trade was THAT bad. I was being facetious when I made the earlier comment. And it certainly wasn't as ridiculous as the Kobe trade, but we won't go there will we jcn1f ;-))

your and then aren't you?

Just looking at your roster the only guys i'm interested in are Lewis and Chandler but I wouldn't trade either straight up for Boozer - the more available of the two because I don't see that as any real upgrade. so I don't see how we could work out a deal sadly.

I love my teams players individually, but im a bit worried about it as it is young with potential

CP3 - hopefully will lift his scoring and keep producing his assists
Iggy - Can score board, pass and score and my favourite player also
Monta Ellis - hopefully will breakout this season has all the tools
Rudy Gay - Iggy type blayer who can do it all, will have a similar season to what Iggy did last year
JO - getting old but will put up numbers
Okafor - big year hopefully a 20/10 year
Devin Harris - will improve and continue to post solid numbers
Gibson - Steal of the draft in the last round
Horford - if he gets gametime will go very well

You'll see, my trade was worth it. You'll wish you had J-Rich and the Truth on your roster. Their both gona explode. J-RIch has go the shot, the hops and quicks to do it in the Charlotte rotation as already proved by Wallace, its the Bobcats game. The Truth maybe wont grab as many boards but I think besides Rondo he will be the main ball handler meaning more assists not to mention with KG in the paint how open the floor will be meaning high %ages.

If there is one thing I have learnt from being in this particular scoring system its that you need good centres and guards who can rebound. I'm happy with my guard rotation, just hoping for another centre.

I had Pierce on my roster...;-)

(...and quickly hustled him out of there for Rashard Lewis and Yao Ming)

Anyways, I think you will go well with J-Rich. Given that he's going to play the whole year pissed off that he got shafted out of Oakland! Good signs ahead...

I started off with Shard Lewis and Jason Richardson. Upgraded those two to Kobe and Vince...

Nothing wrong with going young if they're seeing good minutes in a bad team.

I'm satisfied with my top rotation:

Hinrich/Parker: Both good for 17-6 each night.
Lebron/Lewis: My rainmakers!
Yao/Chandler: Controlling the paint.

In a head to head scoring system it'll be interesting...

Take a look at my team. Seriously, it's not the greatest thing to ever happen in basketball like some think. I turned up to the draft late (1st and 2nd picks were Ming and Shard ffs). My frontcourt is weak as piss and besides Kobe and Vince, i have nobody in the top 25. Infact, VC barely scrapes in.

I'd be on the cusp of the 8 imo...
