Special K said:Just on those lopsided trades - theres a difference between getting value and insulting people. Some of the offers i've got from MC84 have been mind blowingly(not a word but whatevs) bad for me. I'm always scared i'll accidentally press accept when I go to decline. Didn't that happen to someone last year??
And on the Kobe trade, its amazing he didn't hold out longer or be more aggressive in offering trades with Kobe. You could have gutted a team for him..
Oh well let the fun begin!
I'm open to trade offers but not looking to trade down good players for depth. If im moving a bigger name I expect one back.
Redd is a fine player but Kobe is a automatic top 5 pick at the least where as Redd is a 3 rounder imo. But hey you could pull the wool over everyones eyesjoel caine number 1 fan said:i could of and probley should of but im happy with the trade it seems a lot of u's under-rate Redd 26.7 ppg is pretty damn good Kobe only scored 5 more than him and in the other areas i upgrade my rebounding and assists as well as f/g%
im more suprised no one picked Craig Smith the guy is a star 18-8 this year u watch ;-)

El Coconuto said:Translation: Thank you Minnesota Tigers for accepting the most lop-sided trade in 07-08 history. Please enjoy the scrutiny from the rest which you deserve while Kobe lights it up for me alongside Vince Carter, who I also got through a lop-sided traded that some other clown accepted. Thank you, thank you.
(Ugh! Unbelievable!!!!!!) ](*,)
El Coconuto said:Hmmmmmm, let's see. By your own admission he wants out of Los Angelas (everyone knows that). He has the only active no-trade clause in the league. He is playing with Derek Fisher at the point (which will give him at least 5-10 more shots than when Smush Parker ran the show). In essence, he's in a contract year, and everyone knows what happens to a budding star in a contract year (see Vince Carter/Tracy McGrady pre-trade stats for more details).
Until Kobe gets injured, you deserve to be killed by everyone in the league. Who the hell plays fantasy anything on the basis of injury-hyperbole? In any case, everyone should be praising MC84 for his savvy. After an ordinary draft (even MC will admit that) he's cream-puffed everyone into bending over while organising the strongest team in the league.
MC, I salute you! Haha! ;-)

El Coconuto said:Yeah, good call #-oAt the same time, I'm not the guy who...
...traded for Andre Miller because you wanted more assists, which would've made perfect sense except you already had Steve Nash and Vince Carter (who threw 221 more assists than Jason Richardson last year) in the lineup.
...really believes that Paul Pierce is going to have the same production playing alongside Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.
...said that Jason Richardson's "points, threes and rebounds more than compensate the loss of Redd." Of course Michael Redd scored more points than Jason Richardson, hit more three's than Jason Richardson, and shoots a higher % than Jason Richardson from all parts of the floor. But whatever...
...occasionally disagrees with Yahoo Rankings, but thought it appropriate to add up the rankings as a justifiable defense. It should also be noted that according to the rankings that currently has Amare Stoudamire ranked @ #9 in the league, even though he's not going to contribute anything for three weeks.
Anyways, I'm happy for you to think you got the better end of this deal. Who cares that the person you traded with happily admits he throws bum trades and hasn't defended your cause once. He was smiling all the way to the bank, of course. I don't care about names, I'm all about the stats (hell, look at my forwards/centres), which is why I'm confused by the trade.
But don't mind me, I'm just the disgruntled guy who wasn't afraid to click "Reject Trade" when a dud was offered...
(And for what it's worth, I really don't think your trade was THAT bad. I was being facetious when I made the earlier comment. And it certainly wasn't as ridiculous as the Kobe trade, but we won't go there will we jcn1f ;-))
