some storm fans that went to the game are complaining about some of the knights fans at the game throwing dirt and other objects and stuff at them and abusing and assaulting them for simply supporting the storm....if thats true thats a poor effort by those f**kers. only a minority but that sucks.
There are about 21,000 seats at the ground where anyone could sit with no worries, and about 5000 seats on the drinkers hill where people will get a bit silly.
Let me guess where your people chose to sit?

if the panthers beat the warriors and then upset manly next week, the cutoff point for the 8 could be 31.

-edit- wait.. no it can't. thought the pamfers were on 27.

Let me guess, Terry Lamb was your maths teacher. ;-)

Has any checked to see if K-Man is still alive?

The kid must have been on drugs whiel the game was being played.

So Karma, lets rewind say two or three years. If it was Johns who threw the intercept and then kicked the field goal what would you say? Would it still be a moment of idiocy?

Oh dear Dobjog. I think it's reaching to compare the 2.

Johns was consistently consistent ( and a genius at it ).

Dureau is consistently inconsistent ( and nowhere near the same class )

Everyone can make a mistake, even the best players. However, it would be nice to show some sort of consistency game to game let alone within the same game

Oh yeah, he has that down pat.

Actually what worries me the most, is the glaring difference between his form at home, and his form away from home.

I'm yet to see him stand up and be counted in an away game all year.

Must be why Smitty didn't take him to Canberra.

Guess he won't get a run against the boncos either.

 It was early Saturday morning over in Europe, listening to the radio coverage on my laptop in bed with a hangover...

That's my excuse for being a psycho-up-and-down-crazed-pessimistic-obsessive-unable-to-stop-typing-messages-to-myself fan

Either that or I just really wanted us to win. My girlfriend thinks I'm weird enough for getting up so early to listen to football (sometimes 5am for day games)...but after that performance, ranting and raving and typing away...well she thinks I'm plain nuts now

When we lost 28 - 12?

Yes, yes I did.
now i'm embarrassed. i've been throwing stuff around all day without checking my facts.

round 2 was a home game... wasn't it? :(

i'd say you're actually right... i've been trying to work out why/when dureau goes into his shell... and you may have nailed it. i'll certainly be having a look over our season tonight to see what the deal is.

At home he has been a world beater ( Broncos and Tigers games where he had shockers not included ), but he's like a different player altogether away.

All good Perverse, we all mess up from time to time.

Brisbane I'll give you. He went AWOL.

Tigers game he played his first game at hooker and scored a try from dummy half. Not the worst effort. Scotty just can't tackle so playing him at hooker is a tad pointless. Plus everyone played sh*te that day.

You may have nailed it though Karma.

I'm a bit of a punter and I know that with sum horses they do everything possible to make the horse think they are on their home track.

Maybe we can do this to scotty too. Just get him hammered on fri night n fly him up to brisbane while he is passed out. Then blind fold the kid til he walks onto the ground. Won't hav time to think about not being on home soil then.

Bzzt - straight off the top of my head Dureau was no embarrasment when we easily beat the Titans on the Gold Coast a month or so ago...from memory Mullo had a pretty hot game with a couple of glaringly obvious poor decisions/low percentage choices thrown in. Scotty must have been serving him up some good ball for him to work his brilliance at the very worst I'd say :)

Edit: Was the first game he played at hooker the one against the Tigers? (off the top of my head I don't think so) As he was pretty effective (and got points in KOTW from me) in that game, but was tried again soon after that and was poor.

Yeah that Titans game was the game where it was first mentioned that we beat them with 12.5 players.

That was the game where he might as well not have been on the field, because you, me and Dupree could have stood and passed, got out the way and missed tackles too.
