Buy out a small country town for my family and all our relatives

After locals threatened the thirteen year old daughter of a local resident for offering up some of his property for two Syrian refugee families, I'd be tempted to buy out every spare block in Glen Innes and donate them to Syrian refugees.

I just want to watch the world burn.

Past the $70 mill draw. But there will always be another chance to win big.

I'd become a property developer and off the self buyer although it seems the bubble is just about to burst.

Another avenue to go down if/when you win the big bucks is march straight to the millionaires factory commonly known as the Maquarie Bank.

But before you do that,if you require,NSW Lotteries (Tattersals Ltd) will advise you at their head office if you need financial advice, and will accordingly point you in the right direction.

A wise word if you do win...don't tell a soul on the phone. In fact, keep it to yourself until you have everything all sorted.

I'd wake up, realise it was a dream. Slump my shoulders and sigh, then go to work in my low-paying job like nothing happened. Because it didn't!

actually a really good strategy i've heard of is to just bank it. for a year.

take your entire winnings and just lock it away.

don't spend a cent for a year.. don't tell a soul for a year.. just carry on with life.

yes, obviously sounds a lot easier than it actually would be, as you'd be under a lot of temptation (eg "i'll just spoil myself with this one holiday.. or maybe just a new car.. or i just drove past my dream house")

but..

benefit is twofold.. firstly, if it is a big win in your suburb and it hits the press, if you change behaviours straight away, it alerts people that you are the winner..

secondly.. you get 12 months to get your head around things.. work out what you want to do and when.. you have a start date for when 'things will be awesome' that you can work towards.. rather than just waking up one morning and your whole world is turned on it's head..

again, easier said than done.. now, if only march 23rd would hurry up and get here..

Why would you still be living in your neighbourhood if you won $70 million?

well, you may already live in a nice neighbourhood..

secondly, if you live in, say, wetherill park, and it's clear there was a winner in wetherill park, and then you move to double bay shortly after, people will know it's you..

I'll be letting everybody know. I'm going to buy Glen Innes and burn it to the ground.

Yeah. I'd do this too but being unemployed right now I'd keep a chunk to live off for a year!

There's some awesome websites/lists of off the grid living in American ghost towns and towns that just have a tavern and a couple of houses. I'd buy one of them!

I'd also pay off my sister's business loan and her and her fiancé's house as well as some other small matters...

Also, if you just sat on the entire lot for 12 months, most/all of us could live very comfortably just on the interest alone.

I'm not one to play hypotheticals, but for a moment I will. I think I could very easily win it and not tell anyone outside immediate family. I'm not driven by money (it's a necessary evil in my opinion), so if I have just enough to get by (which I do now), or I have stupid-amounts more than that, it's all the same to me. It'd just mean I could get things done around my house quicker and easier than I presently can.

Boring, I know ... but that's me and my non-existent $70million for ya!

I'd pay Skrillex, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars $10 million each to shut the f**k up and stop making music professionally.
