Records: parents used to buy them for me when I was a kid. I'd moved onto tapes and cds by the time I had pocket money and an income.

Tape: First four were Brothers in Arms (Dire Straits), Working Class Man (Jimmy Barnes), Listen Like Thieves (INXS), Reckless (Brian Adams).

CDs: First two were Rattle and Hum (U2), New York (Lou Reed).

tape - michael jackson - off the wall - got that around 92/3
cd - coolio - gangsta's paradise - got that in 95 when it came out

i take vinyl over anything though i'm only 20 and don't own a record player anymore but i intend to buy turntables and listen to all my dads records

i miss the days when mixtapes were actually on tape and you rocked walkmans and you sit there for ages with your cd player and tape deck tryna mash up the perfect mixtape and sell it to people. sh*t was better back in the mid 90s

Today......today I'm buying Icky Thupp.
What ever the f**k that is.
Just the single not the album.

I couldn't give a f**k! I don't know what the mother f**k!

Out.
Hope that you like it Brett. It's a great piece of music. First listen shows a lot of stuff going on there in that song, and it gets better each listen too. I reckon you'll also appreciate it and get a lot out of it...

First record: would be a Humphrey Bear record when I was a kid. I classify Michael Jackson's 'Bad' to be my first record though.

First cassette: I only have one bought cassette (and even that was bought for me when I was about 10 years old!). It's a Michael Jackson one from when he was a kid (the only song I can remember is 'Rockin' Robin'!). I've just noticed a wacko-jacko trend here!

First cd: 'Lets Do It 2' - a compilation cd from 1989. The first cd I bought myself would be a Queen one ('The Miracle' perhaps?).

First video: I have no idea. A kiddies video. Probably a cartoon. The first video I bought myself was probably 'Jurassic Park'.

First dvd: I bought 'The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert' dvd and the Knights 2001 NRL Grand Final at the same time - some 2 months before buying a dvd player!
