Manly Preniers in 2005 said:
Why are we always 2nd last?

Because we're full of untried reserve graders, Dissapointing Local forward pack and an ageing club legend who hasn't had a decent 5/8 since the Mighty Napper?

You would of been six when Manly won their last premiership though, so you might not remember Cliffy too well...

Orford is an absolute gun. If the Bears gave him a chance when JT started to go crap in late 1998, they'd still be here today...

Earl, actually i think ur Rooster prediction of 15th is quite a good chance of happening now i think about it
i wonder if TAB would give that odds

Sadly Orf is one of the most underrated players in the comp

was THE form halfback of last year along with gower and got zero credit for it

1. Roosters - unfortunately
2. Broncos - Motu Tony vital, Lockyer to get much more involved
3. Penrith - too many promising youngsters not to be thereabouts
4. New Zealand - Lance and Stacey to carve them up
5. St George Illawarra - due for a big year, they will put it together
6. Parramatta - as above, strong halves, Thorman a wildcard
7. Newcastle - Joey's form and injuries obviously the key
8. Bulldogs - will struggle next year at stages; a weakend side

9. Cronulla - new coach, new tactics, better result
10. Melbourne - even with Hill/Ross, will struggle to match 2003 form
11. Canberra - simple gameplan will be sorted out by the majority
12. Tigers - new signings wont set the world on fire
13. North Queensland - will be unlucky again
14. Manly - will battle again
15. South Sydney - improved, not enough to ditch the spoon.

I reckon only Roosters, Broncos and Panthers are dead certs to make the finals - and every team bar Manly and Souths has a realistic chance of making the finals. Set to be the most unpredictable, exciting season in recent memory. Lets abolish the salary cap

1 - New Zealand
2 - Newcastle
3 - Roosters
4 - Canberra
5 - Brisbane
6 - Penrith
7 - Bulldogs
8 - Sharks
9 - Storm
10- Parramatta
11 - St George Illawara
12 - Tigers
13 - North Queensland
14 - Souths
15 - Manly

btw - Orford was very unlucky at the bears. He could have made grade in 97 if it wasn't for JT. They would have a good side if they were still around and kept on to Orford and O'Meley...
