its all good
a few here obviously only watched the channel 9 games of canberras
thankfully some poeple know whats going on

1. Roosters - Still ther team to beat
2. Raiders - will be better off by the semi's experience, loads of rookies who will fire
3. Penrith - may suffer due to an increase rep scheduale
4. Warriors - Can still turn it on, just a matter of making it happen consistantly
5. Storm - If Orford fires and Hill stays on the park anything can happen
6. Broncos - Surprised i can only fit them in here, decreased rep scheduale will help
7. Dragons - have the talent but not the coach IMO
8. Bulldogs - Have lost more than they relise, Norton will be missed
9. Parramatta - May just sneak in
10. Knights - IMO a surically repaired neck is not something you want to pin your season on.... IMO they are getting a tad over-rated
11. Sharks - Might take another year to really get back into the finals hunt
12. Cowboys - Still need consistancy but it would surprise me if they finished higher
13. Tigers - Have brought well but may need a year to make the full transition
14. Manly - May surprise but probably wont
15. Souths - still nothing much here

mind you IMO 1-6 could come home in any order, why the roosters want to destory that is beyond me

1 Warriors
2 Dragons (too talented a team not to make it big - again)
3 Panthers
4 Roosters
5 Storm (how good were they last year with all their injuries?)
6 Raiders
7 Bulldogs
8 Cowboys (Norton, Campion, Morrison - what a back row!)
9 Broncos
10 Knights (Johns' unfortunately I don't think will get through a full season)
11 Sharks
12 Eels
13 Manly (See - someone didn't tip them to come second last :D )
14 Tigers
15 Rabbitohs

Poor Souths. The top four are pound for pound, position for position the best four teams in the comp. How close is the comp getting though? And to think, the reason its about to become even tighter will probably get shafted in a court of law. Unbelievable.

Earl, actually i think ur Rooster prediction of 15th is quite a good chance of happening now i think about it
i wonder if TAB would give that odds

Yeah, but whats the point of an even money bet

BRONCOS no doubt in my mind with Bennett and Tallis as full timers
ROOSTERS smart coaching
SHARKS cause i am an optimist
PANTHERS still unpredictable
KNIGHTS Joey
PARRA dark horse now
DOGS will struggle but will be there
WARRIORS injuries will hurt them again

STORM will be there abouts all year and could replace any of those top 8
RAIDERS same as above
TIGERS will give fans a lot of hope for 2005
COWBOYS could be a bolter but don't have the depth
EAGLES they might do better but that will surprise give em a couple more years yet
RABBITOHS they will have a few upsets but they will lose the games they should win again

I can't think of who the 15th team is. :D

I think that the bottom 11 sides will only be separated by 6 - 10 pts, should be a very even competition thanks to the salary cap.

Expect a few of the top 8 in 2003 not to do so well in 2004.

1. Roosters
2. Newcastle
3. StGeorge
4. Penrith
5. Bulldogs
6. Parramatta
7. Canberra
8. Brisbane
9. Tigers
10. Warriors
11. Cronulla
12. Melbourne
13. Manly
14. Souths
15. Nth Qld

But nothing would suprize me. This time last year I would not have had Melbourne, Canberra, or Penrith in my top 8!!! #-o

I really don't think the dogs wil struggle next year. I know we have lost quality players but there replacments r fit to handle there spot's. Given Lolesi has joined that is a very good boost for our outside back's and puting anasta in the 2nd row(lock) i think that makes our side strong. We wont struggle, the only way we wil is if Pricey get's injured cause he is the heart and soal of this team and with him on decks anything can happen. :) :D 8)

I think the dogs will win more than they lose but your depth is getting lesser and lesser.

Orford is an absolute gun. If the Bears gave him a chance when JT started to crap in late 1998, they'd still be here today...

And I thank you for the quote.

Can you change 'to crap' to 'to go crap'?

The bloke is an absolute champion and my third all time favourite player after Beaver and Gary Larson.

Just a few points that i feel could influence proceedings next year.
1. Bennett and the broncos very rarely have 2 bad seasons in a row.
2. I was goin to say the roosters would have extra motivation after the grand final loss but the bad press has already begun on them and many questions im sure will be raised about their operations in the near future, could pose some unwanted pressure on the team.
3.Not meaning to be biased but with a settled half combination the raiders will prove more of a force than some people think.
4. If this is joeys last season as a novocastrian then barring injury of course, he will be a very determined player indeed.
5. This will be one of the tightest competitions in memory, damn that salary cap ;-)
