hopefully sheens or more likely FOLKES can tell him to run a little wider- I'm sick off seeing the bloke get smashed carting it up straight over the ruck...it a waste of his talent..... Just run a little wider...

he's past it has lost pace his ball skills are minimal not good enough to be running wide and i think we can cover him our new signings also so i think gibbs has to be under pressure to retain his spot I just think we should move from these 2 players

City v Country 2007? Can't really remember it all that much, but there was some nice footwork thrown in for a line-break which lead to a try? (Or maybe it was just a line-break...) Was he running wide that night?

IMO he has never had pace all ball skills, just Hard work ethic. We need him in the starting side. But I just wish he would run a little wider...

4. Chris Lawrence
5. Beau Ryan
6. Benji Marshall
7. Tim Moltzen
8. Jason Cayless

The Tigers will be very strong next season and I expect if they can field this team regurlarly, they will make the 8 easily IMO. All across the paddock there are class players.

Here is the breakdown for the squad with position options that I can find in no order of preference- just where I found them on the list as I was searching on internet:

Fullback:
Lazarus, Moltzen, Fitzhenry, Roqica, Brown & Mullaney

Centre:
Ryan, Ayshford, Lawrence, Roqica, Fitzhenry, Akeripa, Lui, Dwyer, Moltzen, Davis, Corby, Pritchard, Daniela & David Fifita.

Wing:
Ryan, Fitzhenry, Roqica, Tupou, Tuiaki & Daniela.

5/8:
Taumata, Marshall, Flanagan, Lui, Moltzen & Fitzhenry.

1/2:
Taumata, Lazarus, Flanagan, Moltzen.

Lock:
Ayshford, Fulton, Flanagan & Hyland.

Backrow:
Heighington, Ellis, Jason Schirnack, Moors, Dwyer, Payten, Mataka, Curran, Flanagan & David Fifita.

Prop:
Woods, Alan Schirnack, Andrew Fifita, Gibbs, Cayless, Moors, Galloway & Payten.

Hooker:
Farah, Flanagan, Corby & Fitzhenry.

OK- next step- debate as to starting 17 for rd 1:

Fullback: Lazarus- unless he gets injured again I’d like to see him get run and we can get some idea on this bloke.

Wing: Tupou- lets see how he goes.

Centre: Ayshford- on 2009 performance has done nothing wrong to demote or switch.

Centre: Lawrence- on 2009 performance has done nothing wrong to demote or switch.

Wing: Tuiaki- on 2009 performance has done nothing wrong to demote or switch.

5/8: Marshall- on 2009 performance has done nothing wrong to demote. 2nd goal kicker.

Half: Moltzen- on 2009 performance has done nothing wrong to demote or switch to fullback.

Lock: Flanagan- lets see how he goes, versatile and main goal kicker.

Backrow: Heighington- on 2009 performance has done nothing to demote but will need to spark a bit more impact soon or others nay get a shot.

Backrow: Ellis- on 2009 performance has done nothing wrong to demote or switch.

Prop: Galloway- on 2009 performance has done nothing wrong to demote or switch.

Hooker: Farah- on 2009 performance has done nothing wrong to demote or switch.

Prop: Cayless- lets see how he goes.

Interchange:

Fitzhenry- versatile and experienced, can cover wing, centre, fullback, hooker & 5/8.

Dwyer- versatile - can cover backrow & centre-

Gibbs- on 2009 performance does not deserve spot in starting line up but interchange maybe great spot for him- defensively pretty good and able to provide breather for main props.

Payten- versatile- can cover both prop and backrow.

On the face of things I really dont think WT should waste too much more time indulging Lote Taquiri

I think we are one prop short of a massive season.

Less Gibbs = more success.

Excellent, when did he have the talent transplant ?
Man when he has good ball skills, can give a good pass, can make a line brake, he would have got alot of expirience from playing in super leauge. All he has to do is fill out and he'll go alrite

Dywer is a good player but I believe Mataka and Jason Shirnack are right there with him competing with spots.

I would really like to see Mataka develop - play some more minutes - he looked good when started for Tonga against Kiwis in rotorua.

Whilst fulton came back from england he too will have to lift his game or the likes of Shirnack etc could take his place.

Also looking forward to seing what taumata can offer.

joel caine number 1 fan- who is the goal kicker in the starting 13? You sticking with Benji in spite of the so-so record in tight situations?

The onlyl alternate would be Lawrence in that squad. I recall reading somewhere he was pretty nifty at kicking when younger -whether that is general play or goal kicking I dont know...........

I'd like to give Flanagan a shot provided he shows promise in the trials and have Benji as backup goal kicker. Then again if Lawrence is good with the boot why not try him? Farah can handle the tactical kicking.

When you guys talk about Tupou, do you mean Tame Tupou, i.e. is he back?! Would be great to see him get a run.

Good luck with Taumata, certainly a talent so lets hope he gets it right on and off the field.

hmm not so sure,he would have to be real good to hold out both Fulton and Hyland than he would probley have to hold out dywer as well
not forgetting hes never kicked a goal in super league

lawrence hit 2 from 5 a few years back too, after that he never kicked again lol
