If Griffin ditches Wallace and moves Moylan or TMM into the halves with Soward he is doing ok before a game has kicked off. Not keen on Peachey in the halves though. Not really a ball player even though he is a gun with his hands on the ball.

Surely Griffing doesn't want to play Wallace in the halves, I doubt the extra 2 years age and 2 serious knee injuries has enhanced Griffins opinion of Wallace as a footballer. I'll take just about anyone over Wallace but I still have Moylan as the guy I want to see given first shot.

Agree..... Griffin is my biggest concern for next year.
He was an average coach at the broncos....Bennett had to clean up the mess he left.

So that's it then,eh?

Not even a trial match played, and he already has been written off.

Think about your quote the next time you go for a job interview with your perfect C.V.

He's getting ridden off because if his time at Brisbane. We dont need a trial to know the merkin is a peanut.

Wallace is solid and can steer a team around. But Soward does the same thing. Who is the better of the two? On last years form where both had lots of injuries id say Wallace.
On the previous year of course Soward. Soward has just a high chance of being a bust. Has a bad back. A lot depends on the fitness of Moylan- Soward who both may play not at their best.

The fact Peachey and Cartwright are so attack minded i think penrith are a side that could get away with two of the most boring stale halves pairing the comp has seen. They both have solid kicking games so they can grind teams, then just feed the ball too guys like Bryce and Moylan and Peachey. Its not hard-Just get it there quick and let them take care of things.

Is that Fischer guy any chance of grade? Where do you rate him ? He looked average too me in the under 20s GF. Only Jennings stood out as pure class.

Peachey at 5/8 is reasonable if TMM is on the bench. Given defence is the concern with a Soward/TMM half pairing. With the interchange changes surely he's better off the bench as defence gets tired.

As for Griffin we have a squad capable of winning the comp. Top 4 is a pass for a coach anything less is a failure.

Dreaming if you think we will make the 4 next season. Broncos south's dragons raiders roosters cowboys sharks storm warriors all have better squads then us. We will struggle to make tge 8 again.

Who are you backrowers? I know there is Bryce - Merrin - Taylor. Peachey is more a utility. I think use need another 1-2. Unless there are some young guys. I do not rate Yeo.Has not leg drive

Eels also have a better squad than penrith

There are a number of squads better than us man for man. We have shit halves and overrate our backs - Mansour, for example. If Griffin gets top 4 he's a better coach than I think he is.

Our backrow and fullback (foot permitting) have more points in them than any other team. Not sure who our halves are, if Wallace isn't there it could be good. Our outside backs are fine. In the middle of the field we will likely be below the average, and when we are up against teams with the likes of Moa/JWH/Evans, the Burgi or Lolo/Tamou/Scott in the middle we will struggle in high intensity matches. Top 4 would be over-achieving, but here's hoping.

We'll be better in the middle than last year by a long shot.
Latu/Matagi/Kikau replacing Plum/Kite as well as Merrin joining and Mansour hopefully playing a full season will keep us even in most games at least.
The other thing to consider with those more powerful packs is the 8 interchanges. I think it helps our squad more than any other.

Those 3, Peachey will play as a second rower mostly. After him the options are Chris Smith, Sopoaga, Ben Garcia, Yeo. Of the young guys we have Kikau and Fisher-Harris who look the goods and then Grevsmuhl for 2016 if not 2015. I think we have enough quality in there and the last bench spot could end up a utility in Katoa, Martin or Smith anyway.

Ok - I do not know much of those young guys. Grevshmul will be a great buy! Hopefully their are not too many injuries in the backrow as could be a little thin.

I would say 1-5 is as good as any and in the top 3-4. A top 5 hooker and a great starting backrow.A little thin on depth(thou im not aware of how good the juniors are)

Halves combo look in the bottom 3 in NRL (unless this TMM play and suprises)
And props look in the bottom half of the 16 NRL clubs.
