My best Pie would have to be a meat pie from this bakery i once visited whilst working at Oatley around 1994 (down the main RD from the station)
Does anyone know if it's still there, it was a little brick corner pie shop that was very droolable still to this day..

If i was eating local i would have to say that there is this gourmet pie shop out front of the spotlight archade on Queen Street. The Oyster Pie is a weird one but i keep going back for it.

Curry and secondly to that mushroom are the styles for me..

Oyster pie is something that was very popular in early colonial times.
Sounds like it could be nice.

Dunno if it still around as it was 10 years ago, but god damn it was the best part of long trips.

Mince and cheese from the Mirrabooka Bakery on Botany Rd - Auckland.

Or anything from Muzzas Pies in Howick - again, Auckland.

The Robertson Pie shop is awesome.
For a chain store, Pie Face make ridiculously nice steak pies.

My favourite is steak + bacon + onion + cheese + tomato. Preferably home made

Sauer's pies in Maryborough QLD. It is an institution. I once drove there from Rockhampton and the first thing I did when I got to Maryborough was annihalated three Sauer's pies in a matter of minutes. I was famished and they were f**king good.

Pretty much Jesters only for me these days.

The good old Ponsonby Pie (now made in Tauranga !!!) used to take some beating.

Baker Boys in Christchurch also rate an honourable mention.

Plain Steak Pie from the Guyra Bakery - awesome pies.

Village Hot Bake in Dubbo apparently won an award for Australia's Best Pie last year - kinda overrated...
