Basically is pretty free range and if you know enough code you can pretty much have anything there - if not you can download "configs" to put on your desktop.
The important dates are just parts of wallpaper I make myself. Most images (i.e. stadiums) come from ones I've taken at myself at some stage or another.
A bit nerdy and the wallpaper requires a bit of work to keep up to date but hell, why not
