Rubbish!!!, you play guitar?, to play lead, or to write lead like a Dimebag, Eddie eg, you need to have been playing and specialising in lead for many years just to be at a level which makes you reasonably compatible on a big stage. Punk artists speacilse in chords, and nothing else, this suggests thats there speciality.

Lead guitar isn't something you learn overnight, my mate Mick taught me guitar, he's been playing for 20 years, a great guitarists in his own right, however, the last time he saw me i played to him 12 years after starting ther guitar and he blown away and conceaded that he could never play the stuff that i play, because i specialised in that part, just like i'm probably not as good rythem player as he...difference being though is rythem isn't as technical as lead, and can be taught in less the time.

Ever also noticed that bands would always have 2 guitarits, one for rythm specifically and one more for lead?

the question is
Can Ron suck his own dick yet?

Dee Dee played bass mate, showing your knowledge of punk

Undoubtedly many metal guitarists are better punk guitarist, which does not, as i pointed out, make metal better music. However you failed to note some of the guitarists i mention, especially the Strung Out guitarist, they are excellent.

Yep my error, sorry i was posting on another music site which was in relation to Dee Dee.

What do you define a good guitarist as?, i go for originality, distinctiveness, creativity...and number of music books sold, you?
