Your NRL All Stars Team

I'm serious.
If the public are not getting a say then there should at least be a selection panel, not just 1 individual getting all the say over the entire NRL roster.

Aside from a bit of bias towards the team he is currently coaching, I expect Bennett will pick a pretty spot on all stars team.

As I said, 1 persons should not pick the team. But if I was voting or nominating a player from the club I support, then I would pick Dugan.

In the NBA the fans pick the starting teams and the head coaches of each conference pick the benches. Just saying.

HE can't really bias his own team much with the one player from each team rule unless thats been scratched too.

He can't bias his own team but can disengage fans by picking players they don't want. Is he picks Creagh or Merrin for example over Dugan.

Why did they do away with the fans choosing the team? The fans voting for a player from every club and then Bennett chosing a couple to make up the team was a good system.

It's not really "All Stars" if it's just one bloke picking the team.

If rather Dugan over Nightingale. Shaun Johnson needs to be there as well.
You have Moylan and Whare both from the Panthers. Scott and Taumalolo both from the Cowboys. Luke and Burgess both from the Rabbits. Graham and Morris both from Dogs. Parker and Gillett both Broncos.
As I am aware 1 from each club must be picked, what is the criteria for selecting the rest of the side? I am genuinely enquiring.

Matt Moylan should be no where near an Allstar team

He was the first one picked by the great one. Bennet's real dilemma will be finding anything resembling a star in the Parra squad.

Just to clarify, Benny must pick a player from each of the 16 teams. He can then pick 2 wildcards, so in fact Moylan and Whare could both play.

Will Hopoate
Anthony Watmough
Tepai Moeroa (if he wants to bring the youth through in this match)
Junior Paulo (Again youth)

Whyno's comments about Moylan are stupid. I agree with Bennett picking Moylan (although Tomkins could've had a go too) but Picking Brooks? that is where i'm scratching my head especially as an automatic selection

My team (with the 2 automatic selections) keeping the 1 player from each club (obviously there will be double ups)

1. Matt Moylan - Penrith Panthers
2. David Mead- Gold Coast Titans
3. Michael Jennings - Sydney Roosters
4. Joey Leilua - Newcastle Knights
5. Manu Vatuvai - New Zealand Warriors
6. Kieran Foran - Manly Sea Eagles
7. Luke Brooks - Wests Tigers
8. Matt Scott - North Queensland Cowboys
9. Isaac Luke - South Sydney Rabbitohs
10. James Graham - Canterbury Bulldogs
11. Josh Papalii - Canberra Raiders
12. Wade Graham - Cronulla Sharks
13. Corey Parker - Brisbane Broncos
14. James Segeyaro - Penrith Panthers
15. Tepai Moeroa - Parramatta Eels
16. Jesse Bromwich - Melbourne Storm
17. Trent Merrin - St George Illawarra Dragons
18. George Burgess - South Sydney Rabbitohs
19. Matt Gillett - Brisbane Broncos
20. Shaun Johnson - New Zealand Warriors

Only team that doubles up in my top 17 is Penrith

Yeah sorry man. Eels have some decent players. Hopo should be in there.
Rhyno's just such a dick with his Moylan obsession. I guess we've all got at least one. Maybe we should do an LU Alldicks team, one troll from each club.

The fan inclusion in picking the squads was about the only thing that kept this game having any relevance or appeal, IMO.

I'd be surprised if this concept sees 2016.

Well its bi annial so no it would not see 2016

In the past, the public were asked to select the Allstars, but the majority of the support was for the Indigenous team. It make more sense being able to vote for them. It's their show. It should be a celebration. Nobody remembers the score. this is not origin. It should be an exhibition of skill, by all clubs to honour the indigenous contribution to the game. The players want to play and most fans want to see a footy match.

The fact that it has drawn big crowds, means that it isn't going anywhere fast.

It's an exhibition match played in the pre-season, people make out like its somehow imposing on them or affecting them in someway.

Love the all-stars game. Our code has always embraced our indigenous players, we should all be proud of that fact. Beetson was like our godfather.

The Indigenous are all over this one, too big, too strong, too talented. By 12 plus.
