Your NSW team for Game II

Weyman isn't up to the speed and intensity of Origin. He's had a couple of chances and has struggled to make metres every time. He does a great job for the Dragons though and I rate him up there, just not in the Origin arena. I would give Snowden another chance, as long as Ricky tells him to run straight and hard - not that sideways crap he does. King doesn't add anything to the side, therefore should be replaced by TLL, who has been our best prop for the past few years. Watmough should be in there - He's made for Origin. Lewis has always done a good job for NSW, and I've chosen Gidley to provide some impact out of dummy half, later in the match.

Team for Game 2

1. Dugan
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. Gasnier
5. Uate
6. Soward
7. Pearce
8. Snowden
9. Ennis
10. Learoyd-Lahrs
11. Scott
12. Bird
13. Gallen

14. Gidley
15. Watmough - Watmough/Gallen can move into prop when he comes on.
16. Mannah
17. Lewis

Making changes throughout the series unless forced isn't a great idea but some changes are needed to be made:

1. Dugan
2. Uate
3. Gasnier
4. Jennings
5. Hayne
6. Soward
7. Pearce
8. Snowden
9. Kidley
10. TLL
11. Bird
12. Lewis
13. Gallen (c)

14. Ennis
15. Watmough
16. Mannah
17. Galloway

Now that's a team. We are going to stuggle once Inglis gets back but they'll struggle to contain Jennings/Hayne and any little ball Gasnier can provide Aku will be awesome~

A backrow including the likes of Gallen, Bird, Lewis, Watmough has quality written all over it. I think Tolman is made for Origin, pity he is injured, in his place I put Galloway. Most people think he ain't up to it, but he is a man mountain and would take the opportunity with both hands. TLL will make a HUGE difference in game 2.

I think one of the big changes I personally really like was handing Gallen the captaincy. I think Gallen is playing a more mature game and sticking to what he does best, making a thousand carries a game. Also, taking the pressure of Kidley is great to. Kidley ain't made to be captain at rep level and he'll stick to what he does best in being a great interchange player, defend hard, chase kicks all day and give everything 110%.

Tolman's injured Yosh.

Although apart from that, that is one of your more logical teams. ;-)

1. Dugan
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. Gasnier
5. Uate
6. Soward
7. Pearce
8. Mannah (who would you start? IMO TLL is more suited to the bench)
9. Ennis (was only person putting pressure on Qld's kickers but needs to give his front row more help)
10. Snowden
11. Bird
12. Scott
13. Gallen (c)

14. Gidley if fit otherwise Farah/Idris
15. TLL
16. Creagh (only for stability) otherwise Watmough
17. Merrin

Pretty much the team I'd have. I'd swap Uate and Hayne maybe though.

I think watmough is a must to our left edge. He could create overlaps galore for Jennings and Hayne.

Have him on the bench at the expense of a 4th prop and bring him on after 20. Mannah to play big minutes and Gallen to spend time up front with TLL used for impact. Creagh... he ain't going to be dropped. He can cover Scotts 20 minute break.

I'd prefer choc over lewis. I'd prefer lewis over creagh.

14. Kurt Gidley
15. Tim Mannah
16. Trent Merrin

out:

Brett Morris - Injured
Dean Young - Wouldn't have been there if Gidley was fit for game 1 anyway imo
Ben Creagh - Time for Lewis to come back and stop bringing Creagh in seriously
Jason King - no need to explain tbh

In:

Jarryd Hayne - his origin career speaks for itself
Luke Lewis - as above
Tom Learoyd Lars - has played well for NSW in the past and hell of alot more potent then King
Kurt Gidley - lets face it he would've been there anyway if he was fit for game 1, and is a very good option as a utility then dean young is. matches QLDs attacking utility in Cronk

Well yeah: its an origin nuffie side; nothing says nuffie thus far like Young, Creagh and Scott.

Young did nothing wrong on debut and Scott was very good in Game 1. Creagh still has plenty of prove but to call him a "nuffy" is laughable.

Pretty solid team there mate. I would not make any changes on that except maybe start TLL on the bench and bring Bird in for a starter. Otherwise that's the team I'd pick. It's a strong pack and some forwards that can grab some bloody meters and give us some field position.

3. Jennings
4. Gasnier
5. Uate
6. Soward
7. Pearce
8. Snowden
9. Farah, but Ennis will be picked
10. TLL, He has been the best "prop" for NSW over the past 2 years. Yes it was done from being an impact forward, but he is good and aggressive enough to start.
11. Lewis
12. Gallen (C)
13. Bird

14. Galloway
15. Mannah
16. Gidley
17. Watmough

My team and I think its perfect!
