1. Dugan
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. Gasnier
5. Uate
6. Soward
7. Pearce
8. Snowden
9. Farah, but Ennis will be picked
10. TLL, He has been the best "prop" for NSW over the past 2 years. Yes it was done from being an impact forward, but he is good and aggressive enough to start.
11. Lewis
12. Gallen (C)
13. Bird

14. Galloway
15. Mannah
16. Gidley
17. Watmough

My team and I think its perfect!

That's a very good side, I'd be pretty happy with that

1. Hayne (if we want to win we need our best Origin player highly involved from the position he's most dominant)
2. Idris (if he can adapt to wing - otherwise ?)
3. Jennings
4. Gasnier
5. Uate
14. Bird
7. Pearce (there's simply not a better option)
8. Mannah
9. Farah (need his attack and defence which is clearly superior to Ennis)
10. Snowden
11. Watmough (duh - always makes meters and supports the ball. Just don't drop it 5 times).
12. Scott (was very solid defensively game 1, really put in)
13. Gallen

6. Soward (get him on after 15-20 and have him look to use his running game. Running off Hayne's short ball = trouble for the Maroons on the fringe of the ruck)
15. Lewis
16. TLL
17. Hunt/ Weyman?

The real problem for NSW is in the prop department. There are 3 guys who were playing well this season (Mannah, Tolman, Snowden) - unfortunately Tolman is out. I'd give one of the Dragons prop a shot working in combination off the bench. They're defensively sound, and Weyman has experience which might be invaluable off the bench - I think Hunt is more athletic and would make more meterage, so I'd go for him.
TLL is far too lazy. He just doesn't run the ball enough - this season he's making hardly any meters. But he's been there before, and in limited time he could be 'forced' to make a couple of his rousing charges into the Maroons and bend them backwards.

I'd bring on Lewis after 20 minutes and let him play the game out. Give Gallen a rest after 20 and bring him back fresh for the final 20-30.

Piss off Idris, Bring in Dugan as FB. Hayne to wing. Then yes. Hayne is too lazy for FB Dugan looked in more position to me. Solid without being Brilliant.

I want a fullback whom I know is going to be there not out in his own world. Not to hate on Hayne I rate him as a player but gets lazy at fullback.

Not to rain on your parade, but Hayne (2009-10) has statistically exceeded Dugan defensively in getting to kicks in general play; cleaning up in the in-goal AND making try saving tackles.
All of which suggests he has better 'positioning'

Hayne also possesses abundant pace, the 'Morris blunder' would've been cleaned up by Hayne just because (a) he would've been there and (b) he's that much quicker and more competitive.

If you want to win; Hayne is 1. There's no other option. It doesn't mean Dugan is a bad player, he's just not a great player - and a great should be picked in his position in the team!

Those statistics would make for compelling reading, as if they were to be regarded as accurate and precise they would have to factor in dozens of variables. This would be the most complex statistical analysis publicly available for the NRL. Care to provide them?

Or by 'statistically' did you actually mean, "If I make baseless claims, featuring the word 'statistically', everyone will take me super serious."

C'mon, Hayne is good but he aint f**king Superman, any fullback would have been stumped by Morris' f**k up. You're just another bitter Parra supporter death riding Dugan. If Hayne were playing decent enough football this wouldn't even be an issue, his form would demand selection.

I'm not death riding Dugan.

He went ok. It's not his fault he got picked is it? I just don't believe that he's the guy to win Origin for us. And plenty of non-Parra fans think the same way mate.

All I'm saying is that Dugs is not especially quick over the turf - someone like Brett Stewart or Barba? [or Hayne] might had the pace to cover the kick
Don't get me wrong - it's Morris' fault - I'm just saying that the better positioned fullbacks might have put themselves in the frame.
Not blaming Dugan, just saying that other fullbacks might have done something different?

And Hayne might not be superman, but he's the closest thing to Superman that NSW have had in the past 5 years - I find it hard to be optimistic about winning a series when we (by we I mean tricky) leave out the best player because he's a "5/8"...

Come on Boganater.....you can't say crap about Jarryd in here. Though I agree....if he wasn't so lazy and sooky, he might have been a chance at making the first team.

Now I understand your stance against me having a shot at Hayne.....your doing him.

You can shoot at whatever you want? (are you implicating yourself in a crime here?)

Don't forget I'm also campaigning for Watmough, Farah and Idris. (as starters for Bird, Ennis and Gasnier).

Those blokes just don't generate much response... I can't figure out why? Watmough has been excellent at Origin level in the past too. Maybe if he wore different coloured boots people would love/hate him more and he'd get discussed?!?!?

Lazy and sooky? These Hayne claims are based on tall poppy syndrome, nothing more. Nobody watches parramatta games and sees for themselves. Apparently with Jarryd if hes not getting 7 man of the match awards in a row hes out of form. Some people are opinionated when they have no right to be.

And as has been seen over and over, when he is down on form he still wins man of the match awards because he is Jarryd Hayne.

I don't rate the guy....get over it.

No offense mate. Idris is a turn-style. Ther is about 5-15minutes in a game where he goes into a wrecking machine then he makes silly defensive errors. He's a good bench spot maybe not to take the full center game over LeGaz.

I am used to it. They don't know the game better....they just have the world's 4 best players in their team.

Jesus are people still going on about Hayne. Why didn't he step up against the Knights last week. He was terrible.
