Any reason why Soward is being overlooked? Thought he would have at least been given a shot at city/country.

1. Hayne (Dugan needs another year but if we lose the 1st 2 games then he has to come in)
2. B. Morris
3. Tahu or Idris (idris is a bit raw maybe needs another year too.)
4. Lyon
5. Burt (only winger in better form is B. Morris)
6. Carney (Bird is not upto origin and campese should have been in the country team ahead of him)
7. Kimmorely (there is no one else and his kicking game is 1st class)
8. Weyman
9. Ennis
10. Perry
11. Watmough
12. Leyrod-Lars
13. Gallen
Bench-
14. Lewis
15. White
16. Creagh
17. Waterhouse

Hindmarsh should be there but Daley and he don't get on so no chance of being picked, shame really.

lol no offence but thats an atrocious team.

Gidley at half?

Buying into Vossys hype job of the mediocre Young?

No offence taken. I've rated Dean Young for years, many people around here will vouch for that. He's got the guts and heart it takes for big games.

I picked Gidley at halfback because I know they'll put him somewhere and there's a lot better players that can fill the outside backs position. I don't think Kimmorley's done much to warrant selection and Pearce is injured.

Im not too sure what Tahu has done to deserve a spot, he misses a lot of tackles every game
Is going overboard a bit with trying to get a big hit, hasnt done a lot in attack.

Cooper has been killing it at the dragons, Lyon a stellar season with Manly

1. Gidley (by the time of SOO1 he will have improved, how do you like them apples casper?)
2. B Morris
3. Lyon
4. Cooper
5. Hayne
6. Lewis (he would destroy lockyer)
7. Kimmorley

8. White
9. Ennis
10 Weyman
11. Hindmarsh
12. Creagh
13. Gallan

14. Carney
15. Waterhouse

2. B Morris
3. Lyon
4. Tahu/Jennings
5. Hayne
6. Lewis
7. Kimmorley

8. White
9. Ennis
10 Weyman
11. Waterhouse
12. Watmough
13. Gallen

14. Mannah
15. Creagh
16. Poore
17. Mason

18. Snowden
19. Burt

Hindy should be there and captain and Hayne should be fullback... I just can't see it happening. I think we would have enough depth in the team to cover all positions with Lewis and Gidley.

:?

lots of people are naming tahu - I think timana has ALOT of work to do before getting picked - he seems too keen and his defensive reads are sometimes poor because of it ... i reckon there's quite a few centres infront of him at the moment - maybe he could be a chance on the wing if hayne is picked at fullback and not wing

and burt - don't get me wrong, i love the guy, but he's really not a chance at SOO - sure he's smarter and more skillful than 99% of origin players, but thats not all origin is about

1. Hayne
2. Dugan
3. Lyon
4. Cooper
5. Morris (paired with cooper)
6. Lewis
7. Kimmorley (altho I'd prefer Pearce if he was healthy)
8. White (for punching value alone)
9. Ennis
10. Weyman
11. Creagh
12. Watmough
13. Gallen

14. Gidley
15. Mason
16. Snowden (he played well last night)
17. King/Waterhouse/Galloway (some warm body who'll go hard and defend well)

- sorry hindy
- I think Jarryd has been below par so far this season, but would step it up a few gears if given the chance at SOO fullback - he's motivated by that sh*t
- I like the way dugan plays, not sure if he could be a winger, never seen him play there, but i'd give him a shot
- while i think mason is a knob, you need a few knobs in SOO - and he's been playing fairly well

1. Dugan - the sky is the limit for this kid. Potentially the best player in the game by 2015
2. Hayne - worried he might go missing if put on wing but he excelled in same position last year
3. Jennings - f*ck Lyon, plus Jennings is a potential game breaker
4. Cooper - Forms a formidable partnership with Morris
5. Morris - best finisher in the game
6. Soward - I don't know. I don't like Bird or Lewis here. So why not Soward. He is a potential game breaker and that is what NSW need.
7. Kimmorley - who else is there?
13. Gallen - a grub. but we need his grubbiness
12. Watmough - just based off his SOO form from last year.
11. Hindmarsh - we need a workhorse to complement Watmough defensive deficiencies
10. White - brings a bit of agro to the team
9. Ennis - a freaking cat but this is SOO and we need cats
8. Snowden - i like him plus there are not many other props i like.

14 Waterhouse
15 Lewis
16 Weyman
17 King

To all those who have picked Burt, he will always be seen by selectors as to:
  • small
  • slow
  • defensively weak
  • old
  • boring

These are teams we would pick not necessarily teams we think the selectors would pick. I would never, ever pick Lyon but I have no doubt he will be picked. I also doubt Soward and Snowden would be picked too. And I was mulling over Burt cause he is currently the smartest winger in the game ... and smart wingers rock

I picked Burt because he can kick goals, he's a good finisher and he played well last night.

Who else will kick goals and do it well?!
