How have you determined that? From his coaching record achieved decades ago? He's a coward who got out while on top and hasn't had the balls to step back into the ring. Easy to have strong opinions and voice them when there's no way to test their validity. I feel sorry for the people who don't have foxtel and have to listen to his negative bullshit week after week.

Gus is an ornament to the game. He's a big personality, however he is also knowledgeable and a good communicator. Rugby league needs more people like him. Especially in the media.
He is all that. He's more than that too. Does he add more to the game than he takes though? His commentary is overwhelmingly negative, as though he has no interest in the game the viewers are watching. He'd rather rib Warren about golf or some other rubbish. Or spend five minutes complaining about a referee's ruling that he doesn't understand, only because he doesn't want to understand. Because he doesn't like it. I hate watching eels games he commentates because he just can't let go of his pet hates for 80 minutes and let the fans enjoy watching their team.
