Personally I was somewhat discouraged by Kirisome's comments in his presser last week that he prefers to play centres and is still learning the wing role. Go learn it at Wenty and give someone else a go son.
I liked Kirisome's effort yesterday. Yeah he made a couple of errors but I thought he had a dig, there was no lack of effort unlike a few others

You don’t want to debut too many merkins if you feel you’ve got a shot at a premiership. Should Arthur be writing off 2018 already? If not we should be picking our best players each week and letting them play their way back into form rather than arseholing them to Wenty. Which scapegoats do we blame for the Brookvale loss? And how healthy is it to let every other merkin off the hook by only dropping two or three players. And why reward anyone who’s been playing for Wenty, after what they’ve dished up?

Niakuore efforts over last 12mths means he deserves a chance. He is ready imo.
It may breathe some life. Young guys can freshen a team with energy. Your taking a negative view that they will make team worse. It may even make the player drop hungry and know they are accountable for lack of effort.

First of all Evans,Matagi been rubbish. Terepo and KE must come in. Taka is playing side ways and not like a traditional 2nd rower. No good. Let him have 2 or 3 games to learn how to run straight and hard like a second rower. He is prancing around out there. He has played centre for 4 or so years it is understandable.

We at moment have Hayne,Auvau,Taka out of traditional positions and they all are off trying to adjust. Auvau is solid but never going to be a natural winger.

Gower always plays well and always puts in. Shame he is always first guy dropped but i understand there are better players.

I'd leave the 1-7 as is.

If Tep, King and Taka are out this week, I'd line up with:

8. Alvaro
9. Kritchard
10. Matagi (last chance to fire up in 1st grade and set the tone)
11. Ma'u
12. Edwards
13. Brown

14. Terepo
15. Scott
16. Niukore
17. Mannah

Bit of a risk not carrying someone who can play hooker to cover Kritchard given his history, I guess at a stretch Kenny could cover if need be. I could easily insert Evans for Matagi with the same last chance disclaimer. Both have been impotent.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's something like that. But did we often go into games without someone who could give Kritchard a spell (or take over when his bones inevitably fractured)? And we were all crowing about our depth a couple of weeks ago so what good is it if you can't make changes after a diabolical effort like that? Particularly after they'd been given a bollocking the same week.

Keep in mind that neither Gower, Edwards or Pritchard played for Wenty on the weekend (Pritchard and Edwards haven't played there this year) and Gower is a last start winner for Wenty (Round 1).
Gower and Kritchard were named for Wenty.

Yeah seemed a bit catty to me too.

I'd be happy for Niukore to get a run, but if he's about to sign elsewhere we don't want to be risking a rookie debut just to develop the merkin for someone else. Of course, he might improve the team. It's a risk the coach needs to weigh up, but the safe option is always sticking with proven first graders. It's Arthur's right to pick who he thinks will get the job done. If he thinks that could be Niukore then I won't be second guessing him.

Burt posed a threat to BA.

Moylan I said was the best ball play in comp. He is a great ball player. Hid defense is crap and a bit of a cat though. Now discipline was the issue here. And many reports that he was up to no good with some certain things. Gould wont tolerate that kind of shit. Also players wanted him gone due to his shanangans and wild nights. Plus the emergence of Cleary.

Like I said its time for a few heads to roll even if for 1 or 2 weeks. Short term pain for long term gain.
Evans first and Matagi.

What a load of crap that BA felt threatened by Burt, you are just making up shit now!!

BA was talking to Dymock as a possible Assistant, doesn't sound like a dude threaten by others!!

Ha ha quick change of tune on Moylan, obviously not a panther now!! You never said that last year about him!!

Sure I did. Your memory isnt great. His ball playing skills are best in comp imo. If he hardens up a little he can become the best half in comp.

I wouldn't be changing the backs to much but honestly Auva'a is not a winger, he has always been suspect under the high ball and has awful hands.

His only strength is carrying the ball out of our own end, it's the only reason he is in the team. But I would definitely be looking at other options there.

Davis would fix goal kicking but unsure rest of game.
