Surely Brett Finch is the winner.

He spent one year beside Laurie Daley(or was it two ?) at Canberra and produced jack sh*t, and then two years alongside Brad Fittler at the Roosters. You would seriously think by then this kid is going places wouldnt you ? 4 years besides two of the greatest 5/8's to lace on a boot, and what did he learn to do when it was his turn to lead his team around ? 100% of kicks went down the opposition fullback's throat, field goal attempts that sailed over the black dot of the corner post, passes that made the wards at the Prince of Wales hospital light up, and grubber kicks into the stands.

Yes that boy sure as sh*t has learnt a sh*tload from two of the greatest players in the game hasnt he ?

I eckon Fatty Vautin was a shocking buy for the Roosers - was glad to see him head back to Manly to be with his boyfriends

For the panthers:

Ben Roarty
Paul Franze
Matthew Rodwell
Trevor Gilmeister (He was a good player, just not for us)

I thought Ben Roarty played well for the Panthers. I bet he was kicking himself though for leaving the club mid-season in 2003.

The rest I agree with, though Rodwell did play a handful of good games in 2000.

Keith Galloway....pathetic, ryan mcgoldrick never saw anything really to deserve the hype that some people seem to place in his direction.

Here's your winner: Shane Endacott. Not happy, Frank.

Other notable mentions go to, Kevin Iro (never ever delivered for the Warriors), Tyran Smith (couldn't catch a cold), Grant Young (supposed to be the next big thing, except he couldn't catch), Marc Carter (All Black never should have been), Scott Coxon, Matt Jobson, Scott Patheticbridge...

Painful memories there.

Somthing Smith, played a game on the wing for the Knights...

Claimed he was an NFL player in America, and the knights never checked so they put him on the wing...

1 game and 4 tries to the dogs that went down his wing, and he was sacked

Somthing along those lines...
Could be Greg Smith?

Wasn't that the guy who was smashed in a tackle and decided he didn't want to play anymore? Those NFL players are tough!

Kinda like that guy from Wests or St George whose name escapes me right now, Lopini something I think, that came off the field because he had a headache.

Disagree completely.

Gasnier certainly added to Best's try tally, but Gaz running out of the line and leaving Best with 2 on 1 was the culprit for the bad defence in most instances.

And how can you Knights fans say George Carmont!? Stranger reckons he's better than Nathan Blacklock, the leading try scorer 2000-2003.

Definetly Brent Kite the guy has done nothing for us but drop balls.
U've got to be kidding. Kite is our only frontrower to constantly make 100+ metres

I'm not sure whether to take you seriously or not.

Lacks imagination. Too predictable.

We should have finished top 4 last year with the personnel we had on the paddock.

I've seen under 11's with better set moves than we had last year.

Im waiting for someone to do a list for the cowboys...
We've had some doozies but not for a while.

The last I can remember was Paul McNicholas, big as a mountain but an absolute nuffy for us.

Before that, let me see... We mortgaged the clubhouse for Brett Hetherington when Sheensy told us he was the next big thing. He got injured at the start of each season three years in a row and left with a motza, never to be heard from again.

Paul Green and Ivan Henjak, bought at the same time. The committee met one night and one bloke said, "Guess what? I've signed a halfback for next year." And the other bloke said, "Yeah, me too." D-OH!!! Neither was much chop for us.

Of course, there've been any number of locals and young hopefuls that tried out without ever making it but I'm trying to think more of the big names that came up here and took our money for very little return.

There are probably plenty of others in the early days when we had to pay overs for good players in the twilight of their career (as they were the only ones who would come up here) or damaged goods from othe clubs but I just can't think of any off-hand.

At the Saints he came off the bench and had international front rowers to support him.

At Manly he has.....King, Leuluai and Cleal.

Henjack retired in 92. a couple of years before the cowboysformed. Are you thinking of goldthorpe.
