Ennis had a bit of buildup to him when he signed for us. He was very ordinary for the first half of last year but yes, he did get better - but not good enough.

I felt for Matt Rodwell - was at Newcastle then Andrew Johns turned up. Signed for Reds - they folded. Signed for us then we merged - Barrett & Mundine at halves. He went alright, but he was a name player then who in effect did nothing for us. Not entirely his fault though.
f*cking hell Fif!

if they're duds, you're a tough b*stard to please!

Tim McGann- Rugby union- 0 games in 1sts

Tim would've played first-grade last year if he hadn't broken his leg.

In fact he was chosen on the bench for first-grade one week but sustained the injury at training and that was pretty much the end of his season.

He's back in union now though. Wasn't enjoying it, and with the club winning the premiership he was unlikely to get another chance.

garrick morgan would have to be the biggest high-profile signing who couldn't even make it to dud status.

i'm sure his accountant wasn't overly concerned though.

BBJF, An outstanding list, but no mention of Willie Leyshon

Geez, you're right. That's like forgetting to invite Bert Newton to the Logies.

I can be a hard marker Greg.

And re Garrick Morgan, the undisputed heavy weight champion of duds this side of Mars. He was hailed as Mr Universe when he headed to league. Seeing that guy charge onto the ball, then brake like an F1 car when confronting the defence is one of the most inept things I've seen on a league field.

Broncos:
Stu Kelly
Scott Minto
Scott Prince (Got injured every game he played poor bugger, knew he had great potential and I'm glad he found it at Tigers)
Motu Tony (Was supposed to be our big buy for 2004 and he goes to waste for Hunt. Sad thing is we lost 2 Hookers after we dropped Tony and that is a position where Tony absolutely shines in.

Did Leyshon even play for the Dragons?

If he wasnt so injury prone he wouldnt be a dud.

others forgot to mention Steve Crouch, Nathan Hollingsworth, Ashley Graham.

Mark McGaw and Ashley Gordan for penrith
were both great players at cronulla and Nwcastle respectably
but for Penrith they were both terrible
Peter Tunks also but he was coming to the end of his career
and also every player Penrith has signed from rugby union

Juniors:
Greg Bird
David Simmons
Keith Galloway
Russell Aitken

All have been hailed as the next Brad Fittler, the next David Peachey, the next big red head and the next good junior...but none have delivered. They've been given numerous oppurtunities but have shown nothing aside from Bird who has put in a few good performances, but not enough to be considered good. Sad thing is, these guys are all juniors.

As for our signings, the obvious ones would be Andrew Lomu and Luke Harlen who I haven't heard of since we were rumoured to have picked him up for massive dollars.

Ashley Graham - Has never been the same player since the injury was good before it tho
Aaron Cannings
Shane Muspratt - Played all of 2 top grade games (if that) then went back up to NQ after 12 mths and hasn't been seen since
Chris Muckert - His nickname is *uckit that should say it all.
Adam Dykes - The less said about this git the better
Willie Leyshon - Played 1 game when signed mid-year along with Darren Treacy in 2003
Ben Duckworth - HUGE wraps on him from the Tigers, did nothing

I'm sure I could find others if I really looked

Surely Brett Finch is the winner.

He spent one year beside Laurie Daley(or was it two ?) at Canberra and produced jack sh*t, and then two years alongside Brad Fittler at the Roosters. You would seriously think by then this kid is going places wouldnt you ? 4 years besides two of the greatest 5/8's to lace on a boot, and what did he learn to do when it was his turn to lead his team around ? 100% of kicks went down the opposition fullback's throat, field goal attempts that sailed over the black dot of the corner post, passes that made the wards at the Prince of Wales hospital light up, and grubber kicks into the stands.

Yes that boy sure as sh*t has learnt a sh*tload from two of the greatest players in the game hasnt he ?

Bob Lidner back in the days wasn't half the player that he was after we signed him. But Dykes without doubt.......closely followed by Cannings have been the biggest duds for mine!

And how can you Knights fans say George Carmont!? Stranger reckons he's better than Nathan Blacklock, the leading try scorer 2000-2003.

Care to quote me on that? wait, you can't can you? If u read the thread... you would find i said the opposite...

But as per-usual drake... you talk absolute crap.

I hope Kirk goes alright this year ..... He ain't a world beater but I doubt he'll become a dud at the Knights.

With the money we paid for him... Kirk = dud...

But im with you, he aint a world beater, but he is solid, does his work...
Still not worth the 240k we paid IMO...
