This true. I don't know if Beau has the creativity to make it as a dummy-half though. I think his future may lie in the 13 jumper.

Ray Cashmere - big and tall bastard, needs to work on the handling but will be a gun.

David Faiumu - I know he's an international already but look for a big '07 from him, very quiet this year.

Aaron Payne - Possible origin (bench) bolter, will have a massive year behind an established halves combo.

A player not mentioned from the Raiders is Michael Dobson. He's been carving up for Wigan and has the best goal kicking percentage in the world (87%).

Mitchell Aubusson - The next Steven Menzies.. A lock with great pace, footwork, ballskills and defence. Will probably get a run though in the Centres.. Scores freakish tries for fun.

Isnt strange that other teams are coming up with 5 and 6 players, and our list (And I agree with you) is 2 established first graders who play the same position and a Prop.

For the first time in quite a while we dont have any "next big things" coming through the grade. Maybe some of the big boppers we bought in the off-season but I see them as being 2 to 3 years away from being any good.

Future aint looking as bright as it was this time last year thats for sure.

The one I would add is Mark Henry, he looks like he could be the goods.

Watch out for these two guys

Joe Clarke (21, 2nd row/centre, Toowoomba 2008)
Ben Vaeau (22, prop, Toowoomba 2008)

Joe has a tonne of potential and Ben will be the best thing to happen to the Cowboys front row when he gets his chance.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, David Taylor is most definatly the one to watch at Brisbane in 2007.

He's a young bloke from Yepoon, 17 years old, 185cm tall and 115kg. He's finishing High School this year so the Broncos fly him down to train and play with the Clydesdales every week. He has agreed to forgoe the Young Kangaroos tour this year so he can train with the Broncos full time.

At only 17 years old this youngster has speed, brute strength, agility and ball skills well above his years. Watching him play in the QLD cup he is easily the best foward on the field in most games, putting on a performance better then those who have been playing at the level for 6 or 7 years. He is the next Authur Beetson, and baring injury will play for QLD and Australia in the near future.

Never have I seen someone so young poses skills as refined as this bloke.

For Mine at the Tigers

1. Tuiaki: I think he will find a permanent spot on the bench next year. He got a good introduction to First grade on the wing this year but as an impact backrower with his size, pace and aggression I think he will be a true revelation. With he and Halatau on the bench (my pick for Dene's best position) it bodes well for good attacking opportunities out wide.

2. Saffy: Massive raps on this guy personally. Has taken two solid years in Premier League to learn the nuances of the game after the switch from Union. Great lateral movement in defence and hits hard. Not afraid of the hard work and will add much needed controlled aggression and mongrel to our pack next year. (Just hope Sheens gives him his opportunity)

3. Bronson Harrison: IMHO he is finally ready for first grade on a weekly basis. Has come along in leaps and bounds this year especially in his handling, offloads and off the ball work rate. Has some stalwarts in front of him but I think selection is warranted.

4. Keith Galloway; Honestly I am not sure about Big Red. As a personal opinion he has not gotten over that shot from Hopoate and until he does so will not be the force we require in the Front Row. However in saying that his mentoring in the off season will be an invaluable resource and may just provide that spark needed.

In the years to follow we have many great prospects including Flannagan and Chase if Farah chooses to leave the club, Chris Lwrence has a massive future however whether Moodie plays next year may dictate whether he gets a spot in o7 or o8. Ben Jeffrey has great potential but requires a bit more size and experince. Sam Moa I cannot speak highly enough of and finally Ben Te'eo has a big future with the club and IMHO has captain written all over his future

Michael Gordon - this guy has speed to burn, and is hard to get down. He will be a point scoring machine, with a nose for the tryline and an accurate goalkicker..

Paul Aiton - elusive, and adds spark off the bench. Off-contract next year, and hopefully we stitch him up long term!

Michael Jennings - carving it up in the lower grades, and is fast earning a repuation at Penrith. Everything that Big Mick said is on the money. He will be a sensation when he finally gets his chance.

Peter Wallace - in my opinion, should get first go at five-eighth. Unfortunately sat out most of this season with a knee injury, but showed in his only first grade match in 2005 that he can cut it - good organiser with a great kicking and passing game. Would compliment Gower quite well.
