Zero Tackle is just crap. Lomax requested release several times before Flano even became the coach. The move to the wing did NOT result in him ending his contract with StGI.

That’s right, the nrl media is a shocker.

The quote from Flanno was accurate though.

My recollection is that it was a quite a controversial move putting him out on the wing at the time, especially on his salary, but it paid the greatest of all dividends for all stakeholders especially Zac.

Ex roosters junior at work was critical at the time. He said:

“ What are they doing at SGI, Flannos finally lost the plot! Million dollar contract out on the wing, what a waste.”

And he added:

“ They’ll get the spoon for sure.”

Should make us mug punters all feel better, because he’s related to Current players and used to try to tackle Lucy etc.

But my full expectation is that Zac will not keep improving, he will plateau out under rookie Ryles and then become distracted.

He still wants his silly boxing lurk and I still think he fancies himself as a centre.

He’s an outstanding individual player, but as we know, he lacks insight and he’s wrapped up in himself over all. He could have stayed and contributed. He even took a pay cut so I’m his own mind, he could prove himself right ( which rest assured, he won’t).

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’d much rather watch Gutho play footy than Zac because of his unbridled passion, zest and personality!

Lawson will take Lomax's place on the wing in a very short time and be one of the most damaging wingers and highest try scorers in the NRL. Let's just hope that the Dragons extend his contract before November 1 2025.
