Semi's 2018 against Broncos...Mate you really have blinkers on when it comes to aitken...not interested in getting into an argument....people who really know the game rate him highly..( Meninga and Coyne both Australian centres..)..that's enough for me...
He put a kick through in the 80th minute when we're 40 in front. He didn't finish off a few movements that Euan definitely would have that day. I wish him well at whichever of the Raiders/Tigers he ends up.

My final say on Aitken is that I don't think he's an average footballer, he could be a very good player, just not at centre.
He should have been transitioned to the forwards in a Paul Gallen type role a few years ago. He is taller than Gallen but about 7kg's lighter and a lot quicker. Has the same running style and the trademark tucking the ball under his arm ie; no passing.
Centre is not his go and it's pretty obvious when opposition coaches plan their attack down his side. At lock, for example, he could actually lead the line speed and wouldn't have to worry about lateral movement in defense which is his greatest weakness at centre.
There are a couple of trains of thought about this and these will depend on what happens with JDB.
1. From the Bench as a small power forward maybe to relieve jdb, or
2. If jdb is unable to play then I think we have a ready-made lock he just needs some good coaching in that position.

Have to say I don't agree Re lock...Most locks are ballplayers...Jake T..JDB...aitken cannot pass..He runs hard but has poor lateral movement..

With decent coaching he may become a serviceable centre...

Personally I would cut him loose...and the club has been trying to...no one wants him....

We have younger guys coming through who will be streets ahead....A decent Coach would have played Lomax at centre and kept him there....

Hopefully when flanno finally comes on board sanity will prevail.

It's finally been noticed by the inept ones that he's useless, but they can't offload him now because everyone else knows it too. The good operator's would have pissed him off before all the other clubs realized he wasn't any good. Not our slow working dopes

Lafai is very lucky Aitken is in the team, otherwise he would be the whipping boy.

Have to agree with you Crush,
Euan and lacks either ability or has not been coached well or both which is my opinion but at least he tried hard. Lafai only put in once every 6 or 7 weeks if that and he's very lazy

Zac was a good junior. So was Beau Henry.

You didn't address any of my Points

1/. Meninga and coyne played centre at the highest level...They both Rate Lomax...

Do you think you are are better judge than they are.

Lomax has been stuffed around in 1st grade due to injuries and a coach who has played him as middle forward /r.wing/r.centre/Fullback/left centre...

Aitken has had 4 years straight in the top grade and hasn't improved...

The club is trying to offload Aitken, but no one wants him

There are multiple clubs interested in Lomax...

With all due respect, You are wrong on this one...based on the above FACTS.

Believe what you want....Your comparison to Beau Henry is laughable...you claim to have played some form of grade football...and yet you clearly have rose coloured glasses when it comes to aitken

Anyway, have a good afternoon...

I have heard this as well.

Funny isn't it, that nobody wants Aitken, but several clubs are interested in Lomax.

I wonder why?
