I believe Ford would be a great centre in the same way J Thompson once was. He has speed, good defence and a good passing game. I'd day 10 x better than Aitken.

We need to keep Lomax. Fullback is his preferred position and we have a vacancy. Dufty and Sailor are too small right now. In my opinion both would make good five-eighths. Given the past actions of Mary, it is likely he will slot Aitken into the right centre position in the same way he has done in the past.

I don't think Sailor has signed as yet but if he does, I'd asy he would be hard to find a spot for. Dufty is contracted until the end of 2021 and so that is a more difficult problem.

Agree as cover re Ford...not as a centre specialist.

Only downside being the 2 plodders will again start in the centres....and once things go pear shaped, the whole backline will be re-shuffled except for the 2 plodder centres....because McGregor will say they are experienced 1st graders....LOL

Surely Mary - with an elbow in the ribs from Flanagan - will pick the outside backs on pre-season form. Saab to me is a given on the left wing but the rest are a toss up. Here's hoping Ravalawa gets a go at right centre. Right wing and left centre are an unknown.

Surely Mary - with an elbow in the ribs from Flanagan - will pick the outside backs on pre-season form. Saab to me is a given on the left wing but the rest are a toss up. Here's hoping Ravalawa gets a go at right centre. Right wing and left centre are an unknown.

I thought Saab was more a right winger ? Hope your correct re Flanno...time will tell whether McGregor will listen.

As (probably) indicated earlier, I’m concerned about Lomax under kicks.

Sailor will be given the gig in a futile attempt to shore up his services for the foreseeable future.

it's not like Sailor has a whole lot of options

Sailor would/should know that there's every chance Lomax doesn't stay at fullback and he could play his way into that spot.

As (probably) indicated earlier, I’m concerned about Lomax under kicks.

I know he had some fumbles on the wing, but that was playing out of position and he was often left posted by his centre. His hands are pretty safe, and he didn’t have much trouble with them coming through the grades.

My big concern is that he is a square peg being jammed into a round hole. He’s a legitimate ball playing option, good hands, good feet, eyes up footy player, but he will be hamstrung by our conservative tactics.
