The only problem with these lines of thought is that Lomax sees himself as either a right centre or a fullback and spits the dummy when he's picked at left centre or on the wing.

I really don't know where he thinks he fits in.

Would you guys be happy moving Penisini to accommodate him?

That might be the option - Penisini to left centre.
Or maybe Gutho, with Lomax at fullback.

But where does that leave Blaize Talagi?

If we play Lomax at centre, I reckon Penisini shifts to the left.
But I wouldn't be surprised to see Lomax at FB and Gutho into '9'.
Would probably extend Gutho's career and he offers everything you look for in a good 9.

Getting him here this year would mean we could be competitive for the premiership. As bad as BA is, I think we've missed 1 gun player in the backline.

I reckon Madge would want some fresh blood that isn't scarred from previous series defeats.

And what's the point of changing coaches if Madge is going to pick the same team as Freddy would.

I suggested similar and glad you think likewise. Guth could be very interesting at hooker. Which could then see him as a utility and extend his career beyond 2025. Could cover 1-6 and hooker

Would be a pretty potent spine.

With Talagi and Penisini as the centres.

it's what I have said all along when I wanted Dyl at 1. Centre is not good for Guth, he'll get ran around.

He will be a great 9, vision, can pass, can kick, can scoot, can get penalties from lazy markers etc.

Cam smith played a long time at 9.

I wouldn't play him the full 80 so a young 14 would go well whether it is Hands or MA.

The thing we will miss is his defense at 1 especially stopping tries from line breaks from runnning one side of the field to the other to stop the winger or ripping the ball out when the player is about to score. I reckong he saves 1 or 2 tries from that.

He was my first favourite player for the Eels in 1999-2000 when i started following the league.

Was devo as a kid when he left for Canberra.

Probably his versality cost him here as Hodgson could only play FB and Burt was also coming through at the time.

Clinton would get shunted to the wing from memory for Hodgo hence why he left to play FB in Canberra.

I felt like Schifcofske always owned the big moments though especially with his Goal Kicking when he was at Canberra. He was always pretty clutch even though it took an hour to kick it.
