I dunno.
The way he played in Origin this year it would be hard to leave him out, unless he's having a proper shocker of a season (which obviously I hope he doesn't).
They keep picking Turbo in the centres because he played well in Origin there a couple of times. They could certainly do the same for Lomax.

Yep, there's lots of precedents like that.

I think Lomax is playing right centre for us, just like BA allegedly promised him - at least for the first half of the season to origin while Ryles lets the combos gel and see what he's go to play with.

Penisini if he's really keen to stay on that side of the field? Otherwise the best candidate during the off-season from Simonssen, Russell, Ilongi (if Gutho is initially retained at fullback).

I like that under Ryles no merkin should feel that they have earnt a guaranteed selection in a spot of their choice, unless their 2024 form warrants it. Time for new combos, new systems, new styles of play.

Wingers are more important than centre. Just look at the dribblers both the Panthers and the Storm put out there compared to the players they have on the wing.

Both centres are easily the worst players in both the Storm and Panthers starting teams by a fair way.

Exactly.
Storm won with Brenko Lee and Justin Olam in the centres. They had Addo-Carr and Vunivalu on the wings, who are much better players.

A lot has been spoken about this combination and with Moses' love of playing a short side having someone big and fast on that side will help massively, this will also allow the centre more of a 1v1 opportunity.

But what may be more lethal and provide more tries and assists is Brown's cross field kick. Usually we aim it on the half's head, next year it'll be interesting to see if we bring Lomax in to target generally shorter halves or keep him wider and limit the defence's ability to escort him off the ball.

He was terrible once BA went. Hopefully, he improves or we're getting the Spoon this time.
