Yet we will still discuss it because that's what fans do. What fun do you get out of coming on here and repeating - ad nauseam - that we are stupid for not agreeing with whatever the club does? Do you never have your own thoughts about stuff?
You wouldn't have a frickin clue. Enjoy the win.

Good performance and result as expected, not too much to take from it though considering the opposition. We should be smashing the knights and should be in the game till the end against the best teams, so we are about where we should be at the moment.

Get a real test next week. Given what a graveyard Melbourne has been for us since forever I'll be happy if we get close.

He could have missed 20 tackles and dropped the ball 10 times leading to tries to the opposition but he didn't. He'll be in the side next week no matter what you and your buds say.
Old North Sydney supporting bogan isn't he, living on the lesser part of the CC?

LOL.

The coach favours a back on our bench. Considering most of our edge forwards and Trent Merrin can easily play 80, it is a luxury he can afford.

Attack came good last season for pretty straight forward reasons.

Attacking ball was being distributed at about 40% Moylan, 40% Soward, 20% Wallace. And RCG and McKendry were starting and getting the lion's share of minutes in the front row.

Then, attacking ball began being distributed at about 50% Moylan, 25% Cartwright, 25% Cleary. And Matagi and Latu were starting.

It really had nothing to do with Peachey or Blake or the like.
So what do you have to say about our attack with RCG?

17 hit ups for 207m gained
20 tackles / 3 missed
56 minutes played

We won 40 nil... and scored plenty with him on the field. He was our leading meter eater.

He'd be fine if we played Newy every week.

He was our best front rower... they all played Knights this week.
If making the most metres against Newcastle is your measure of a front tower then great for you. As I said before the game, it papers over the cracks. Moylan's fullback play also looked good and if Cartwright had been out there his defence would have seemed fine too.

RCG smashed it this week. To be fair his stats are would include around 30 "easy" metres from kickoff/dropout returns, but he ran with plenty of venom and made plenty of metres after contact. Yeo shades him as best forward for the week imo though.

Too big too strong tonight. Our attack looked mesmerising at times and a bit overcomplicated at times. DWZ was great and a big reason behind us regularly making 70m and the ball being fed back to him in good space. When you out this forward pack on with momentum they are very hard to stop. Hooks got a task on his hand figuring out who to play going forward as we have a veritable arsenal of attacking threats to choose from. The depth is just incredible.

Our forwards way to big, too mobile and really layed a platform for tonights big win.

Hard to single anyone out in particular but certainly Isaah Yeo & Peter Wallace were outstanding.

Probably tried a little too hard in the 2nd period and pushed a few passes which led to unforced errors.

We will surely need to step up another gear next Saturday night against the Storm who certainly won't be as easy to roll over as tonight's opposition were.

Special mention to the coach in giving CHN his debut. It surely would have been the easy option to bring in Browne or Leota but he blooded the debutant and that is surely to his credit. It was a very, very promising debut. He was a very elated young man at the end of game and soaked up the occasion with his fans and family. He is NRL quality no doubt, sad thing is he is another who we may struggle to hold onto and may have to go elsewhere to get a regular NRL spot.

It will be interesting to see what squad we take to Melbourne. Will Cartwright be brought back in or will coach Griffin go with the players who have done well in the last three games (despite losing the close one to the Roosters). Personally I would stick solid with tonight's 17. I know it's a tough call on Bryce but his injury coupled with his personal off field issues he may just benefit from playing a game or two in the NSW Cup.
