Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club has today signed a three-year deal with Lumo Energy to become the Club’s official energy partner.

The partnership will commence immediately, with Lumo Energy branding to appear on the back of the Club’s playing shorts for Storm’s Round 9 match against Manly Sea Eagles at AAMI Park on Saturday 10 May, 2014.

As well as delivering strong awareness for the Lumo Energy brand, the partnership will offer Storm members and fans a range of benefits when looking for a better energy deal.

Melbourne Storm Commercial Director Ben Dunn commented:

“Lumo Energy is the first energy partner of Melbourne Storm. Lumo is a dynamic brand and we look forward to creating some exciting marketing programs together.

“This is another endorsement of the strength of Melbourne Storm’s brand being able to unite the Melbourne market whilst delivering significant national exposure,” Dunn said.

Lumo Energy Executive General Manager of Marketing and Sales, Tim Harrington commented:

“Lumo Energy looked at a range of sporting codes to partner with and Melbourne Storm was a natural choice, it’ regarded as Australia’s number one sports teams across all codes in awareness and likeability, it has great brand recognition, is a professional outfit and is as passionate about its fans as we are our customers. We are proud to have the opportunity to partner with such a powerhouse in sport.”

Lumo Energy is one of Australia’s fastest growing energy retailers, servicing customers in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. The company is focused on providing competitive energy packages and offering excellent value to its growing customer base. Lumo Energy recently exceeded its 520,000th customer account and received the number one ranking in Victoria for customer satisfaction in a survey conducted by CANSTAR Blue.

And yet you claim to like the Bulldogs WIL jersey.

Awkward.

LOL

Because, I dunno, I'm a Bulldogs fan?

At the very least the Bulldogs design has some meaning - if you actually take the time to look at the parts of it and don't just dismiss it as purple and black swirls.

Cronulla just look they've gone into paint and used the fill tool on a big bar chart with pink, blue, white and black.

I'll grant you that, Sharks seem to have put zero effort in.

True... I mean the Sharks just designed an entirely new jersey.

Bulldogs changed the colour of their nines jersey, removed the blue v, and changed the text. So much effort.

The Bulldogs jersey is great if you like Ed Hardy.

The Panthers enjoy a rich history of cooperation with the indigenous community. In keeping with this wonderful tradition we are very proud to announce, along with the NRL, an outstanding initiative to commemorate the 2014 Close the Gap Round.

Fans are invited to enter a design competition for an exclusive Panthers indigenous jersey to honour this celebration in Round 23. All entries are welcome, no restriction or limit to the number of entries however entries will be shortlisted and the final selection will be made by a panel of Panthers Indigenous players.

Here is my entry. Side panels representing Torres Straight Islander flag and sleeves/collar Aboriginal flag.

I just think the Indigenous art on jerseys has been done to death.
