To be fair, Rein has missed zero tackles and made zero errors in the NRL this year...
Also to be fair, no forward passes, droped balls, hospital passes, passes to ankles or over the head, and one hair cut in the first three rounds.

I wonder if he will try an grow a beard, just like JDB? Whilst Jack look menacing with his, I fear SaintMar will look more like an Ewok.

You love getting a rumour or prediction out there
I just need to let you know nudey runs at 2.40am when you post don't count.
Has to be in peak hour traffic.
Kurt Mann starting center for Aitken. I was convinced that Mickey had the inside info!

McInnes has been 'serviceable' in his performances so far. While he hasn't really put a foot wrong (thankfully, in part, due to referees missing a few forward passes here or there), McInnes hasn't done anything eye catching either. For this reason, I believe it is hyperbole to say he is a discernible upgrade in Rein. As some others have pointed out, McInnes hasn't made many breaks out of dummy half, and his lack of dash in this area makes Rein look like The Flash.

As for his defensive qualities, he is a workaholic, but so was Ben Ellis back in the day (for those with good memories).

My critique of McInnes does acknowledge a couple of redeeming features though. He seemingly can endure long playing minutes, and he has good vision as evidence by his crafty kick for Aitken's first try against Cronulla on the weekend.

If this were a report card, I'd be awarding a C+ with room for improvement.
Very Harsh. I would give him an A thus far

he was honestly training there last Tuesday and Aitken was on the opposite side of the pads session...then Mary changes it mid week...Aitken must have photos of Mcgregor - suppose Mcgregor was vindicated by sticking by him..

IMO Mary would of seriously considered replacing Aitken and putting Mann in his place. Possibly Mann training in his place was a subtle reminder for Aitken that his spot is not guaranteed. Fortunately Aitken was given a chance to redeem himself and came up trumps. Still feel for Mann, to good a player to be rotting on the bench. Why Mary chooses to use only three subs is beyond me. Havilli or Field should be on bench and used early in the second half. It totally infatuates me.

Great buy , and as has already been said , it's nice to see the big boys getting some good , clean ball for a change . Loved the post by DannyBoy about McInnes leading the team song , that really got the ole blood flowing , a real nice piece Danny Boy .

The same could be said for B. Marshall. Remember him? He was the Dragons' halfback for approximately two-and-a-quarter years.
Seems your definition of 'halfback' is much more forgiving than mine.

Anywho, there's a 'Josh Freaking McCrone' thread that should be used to compare our current and former halfbacks!

How are ya Sammy ? Thanks for the information , I do that mate . There's nothing better than seeing the happiness when they really get into the swing of it . I am sure that they will be singing it with a smile , far more often than last year .

To clarify, I always maintained it was folly to put Marshall into such s specialist position, such as halfback.

Yes Benji was the wrong choice, we needed to buy a top grade halfback. Now we have Hunt in 2018, we need a top grad five-eighth. An inexperienced talented junior, not quite ready for first grade just won't do the job.

We have Widdop and Mann within our squad both experienced first graders but in my opinion, not quite the perfect partner for Hunt.

Unfortunately we will never know about Mann as our coach will never give him a fair go.

Losing Rein was the smartest thing this administration has done in a long time - and let's not forget that Mitch rejected a big extension offer!! Jesus, imagine he accepted that offer. We were so close to another catastrophe
