Largely a perpetuation of a myth that the greens are treehugging hippies. One would look at Russell Norman or James Shaw and see the opposite.

The Greens have some talent coming through their caucus... Marama Davidson, Julianne Genter, Chole Swarbrick, Golriz Ghahraman.
Mojo Mathers was a huge advocate for people with disabilities.

Ironically it is nearly always ignorant middle aged men peddling the old tree hugging stereo type.

Sure, but you seem to be of the view that Sharples, Turei, Flavell, etc etc are not huge advocates for Maori, and whilst supporting the Govt didn't actually do anything - despite abundant evidence to the contrary, and the former speaks for itself.

And if 1/4 elections the country and govt gets held hostage by an ego, then our version of MMP needs adapting

Final results:
National 58 seats 46%
Labour 45 / 35.8
NZ First 9 / 7.5
Greens 7 / 5.9

So....
Labour, NZ First and Greens in total only have 49.2 % of the vote. How can that be a majority?

Not sure those are the correct finals Rich.

Nats 44.4 / 56 seats

Lab 36.9 / 46 seats
Greens 6.3 / 8 seats

NZ First 7.2 / 9 seats (no change)

So hardly the convincing win National tried to sell on election night. National 44.4 vs Labour / Greens 43.2
56 seats vs 54 seats.

Yeah, I was on the Stuff site which said FINAL but it has now changed to your figures.
Still a convincing lead over the next party.
Should be an interesting week.

Yep and hardly the mandate for change Labour and the Greens have been similarly trying to peddle

I've voted Green before, a long long time ago when they were actually interested in the environment but over the last 15 years or so they have become more of a socialist , social justice warrior party so I bailed long ago. Some of my friends are still into them hard out and go to their meetings etc , they make a lot of noise but don't actually get off their butts and do anything. But like I've said before (maybe not on here) whoever slaps a deal together with Winston , history shows us its three terms in opposition as punishment.

But that was also what Wintana had on his placards..."Time for a change"

Is this the man you want running things?

Winston has been saying since the night of the election he would make a decision by the 12 th of October.
Now we hear that he can't reveal who he will go into a coalition with until he runs the decision past the NZ First Executive Council, trouble is he doesn't know where they are or if they are free to attend a meeting. Nor would he release the names of the people on the Executive Council.

Talk about Mickey Mouse.
